BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION When testing the number of bacteria on food according to the official method, it is first necessary to dilute the food sample. For this purpose, a food sample is accurately weighed and placed in a sterilized sample container, and then a predetermined amount of sterilized dilution water is added to dilute it before being sent to the next process (mixing or stomaching). This dilution water is prepared in advance in large quantities by accurately weighing it in accordance with the dilution ratio, placing it in a container, and sterilizing it. In some cases, dilution water may be prepared in advance in the sample container.
Accurately weighed food samples are sometimes put into the container, but currently all of this work is done manually.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As mentioned above, it is necessary to accurately weigh the food sample and dilution water for each test.
It requires repeated weighing operations, and especially in the case of solid foods, it takes time and effort to finely increase or decrease the amount of food sample taken to achieve accurate weighing, which places a heavy burden on the worker.

[0004] Furthermore, since all of this is done manually, if dilution water is spilled or remains in the container when adding dilution water, errors may occur in the dilution ratio, and individual differences and mistakes among workers are likely to occur. , there are problems such as it takes too much time.

[0005] Furthermore, it is necessary to prepare and sterilize dilution water individually, but the number of dilution waters may range from tens to hundreds in some cases, so sterilization equipment tends to be large. According to the present invention, predetermined dilution water is added by a simple operation of taking a food sample by eye and placing it in a sample container set in a container accommodating part, and furthermore, it is possible to calculate an accurate dilution ratio. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and device for diluting food samples for bacterial count testing.

[0007] The invention of claim 1 calculates the net weight of the food sample by measuring the weight of the sample container set in the container accommodating part and the weight when the food sample is put into the sample container, and calculates the net weight of the food sample. From the weight, calculate the amount of dilution water corresponding to the dilution ratio set in advance and/or the total weight after adding a predetermined amount of dilution water, and add dilution water using two dilution water addition pumps with two different capacities. When the amount of dilution water added approaches the predetermined amount, the large-capacity dilution water addition pump is stopped and dilution water is added only with the small-capacity dilution water addition pump, and the amount of dilution water added reaches the predetermined amount. Dilution of food samples for bacterial count testing. It's a method.

[Operation] The weight of the sample container set in the container accommodating section is measured by the weight measuring means, and the weight signal is sent to the arithmetic control circuit. When a food sample taken by eye is placed in a sample container, the arithmetic control circuit calculates the net weight of the food sample from the weight signal at that time, and calculates the required amount of dilution water and/or water from a preset dilution ratio.
Alternatively, the weight after addition of dilution water is calculated. Next, large and small 2
Two dilution water addition pumps with different capacities are operated to add dilution water. When the amount of dilution water approaches a predetermined amount based on the weight signal or volume signal, only the large-capacity dilution water addition pump is stopped. Further, when the amount of dilution water reaches a predetermined amount, the small capacity dilution water addition pump is also stopped to complete the dilution. The actual dilution ratio is calculated based on the final weight signal and the value is output.

A sample container 2 such as a sterilized glass bottle or a plastic bag is set in the container storage section 1, and its weight is measured by a weight measuring means 3 (load cell in this embodiment) and calculated and controlled as a weight signal. When the food sample 5 is placed in the sample container 2, the weight signal from the weight measuring means 3 becomes W1. At this time, it is not necessary to accurately weigh and collect the food sample 5, and in this embodiment, it is sufficient to collect approximately 20 g by eye.

[0014] Next, dilution work is carried out, but this is done either by operating the start switch (push button) or when the weight signal from the weight measuring means 3 exceeds a certain value (appropriately determined between W0 and W1). By detecting this, it is possible to determine that sample 5 has been introduced and to start the operation.

Furthermore, the arithmetic control circuit 4 sends operation signals to two dilution water addition pumps 6 and 7 having two different capacities, and the dilution water addition pumps 6 and 7 supply the sterilized dilution water in the dilution water tank 8. Water 9 is added into the sample container 2 via the addition nozzle 10 to begin the dilution. In this example, a pump with a capacity of 500 ml/min was used as the large capacity dilution water addition pump 6, and a pump with a capacity of 150 ml/min was used as the small capacity dilution water addition pump 7.

When the weight signal from the weight measuring means 3 approaches W2 (this value is predetermined, but in this embodiment it is set to 95% of W2), a large volume of dilution water is sent by a stop signal from the arithmetic control circuit 4. Stop the addition pump 6. [Effects of the Invention] According to the method and apparatus of the present invention, when testing the number of bacteria on food according to the official method, it is possible to automatically test the number of bacteria by simply taking a food sample by eye and putting it into a sample container. This allows dilution to be carried out at a predetermined dilution ratio in a short time, and since the accurate dilution ratio is determined, operator errors and individual differences can be prevented. In addition, by displaying and recording accurate dilution ratios, it is easy to calculate the number of bacteria from the final test results.Furthermore, by attaching a printed label to the sample container, there is no chance of sample mix-up. Never. In addition, it has great industrial value, such as simplifying the equipment for sterilizing dilution water.
