Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent entry of foreign matter into a gas turbine to lower the performance, entry of weld spatter whereby a fault is generated, and entry of foreign matter into a sound absorbing silencer, etc., which is caused by the use of a grinder, in a gas turbine or other various types of wind power machines, etc. CONSTITUTION:A sound absorbing part of an intake silencer is formed and assembled without welding and installed to manufacture a silencer. Multiple splitters 1 made individually in the same sound absorbing construction are positioned in parallel with each other in a silencer barrel body 2 made by laminating the sound absorbing material and a protective cloths on the inside walls of a perforated plate, and a barrel body upper cover 3 formed in the same sound absorbing construction as mentioned above is assembled. The end cap is fixed at both sides of the barrel body 2, and sealed by spot welding 5. The intake silencer thus constituted is constructed so that it can be disassembled for inspection of the interior of the sound absorbing part. Also, since the forming and assembling operations can be made without welding, the operation during which any foreign matter cannot be mixed is enabled.

2. Description of the Related Art An example of a conventional method for manufacturing an intake silencer is shown in FIGS. 8 to 11. In these figures, conventional intake silencers use a fibrous sound-absorbing material 03 inside the body body 02 to obtain a sound-absorbing effect, and a protective cloth 04 (cloth) is placed inside the material to prevent the fibers from scattering due to flow velocity, etc. ,
Further, a perforated plate 05 is superimposed and fixed thereon by spot welding 06 at the end.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, the conventional manufacturing method for intake silencers as described above has the following defects, which cause performance degradation and failure due to foreign matter getting inside the gas turbine. . (1) Welding spatter gets into the holes and underside of the perforated plate when forming the sound absorbing part and assembling the main body. (2) After the sound absorbing part is assembled, a grinder or the like is used to remove welding spatter and defective welding parts attached to the surface of the perforated plate, so foreign matter gets into the holes and underside of the perforated plate. (3) Once foreign matter enters the perforated plate, it cannot be completely removed.
