Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide means, by which defective position and divided position in a wire rod coil can be easily identified. CONSTITUTION:At the time of coiling the wire rod 11 coming out from a finish rolling mill 1 to a coiler 3, defective detected signal is transmitted to an annealing wire inserting command device 10 from a wire rod defective detecting device 7. The annealing wire inserting command device 10 transmits operating command to a annealing wire inserting cutting device 9 at the prescribed timing. The annealing wire 12 is let out from the annealing wire inserting cutting device 9 at the necessary length and inserted into coil ring for defective position and cut. The wire rod 12 inserted into the coil ring, is inserted with the dead wt. of wire rod and at least the one end thereof is made to under condition of projecting at one side of the coil. At the time of coiling the wire rod or at the time of bundling these, the defective position or plural dividing position can be indicated on-line. The indicated part is not enclosed in the coil. This can be applied to hot-wire rod, too. The defective position and the devided position can be exactly informed in off-line.

[Prior Art] Finish-rolled wire rods are wound either directly onto a winder (poling type winder) or rolled out and loaded onto a conveyor in a ring shape using a laying head, and then collected into a coil focusing device. In both methods, the ring is shaped into a ring and then sent to the next process. In this wire winding or focusing process, if there is a defective part in the wire or if the wire coil is to be divided, the defect position signal detected by a hot eddy current flaw detector during rolling or the steel piece ( Using the dividing position signal calculated from the weight and rolling speed, etc., a marking device sprays paint etc. on the defective part or the dividing position during winding or focusing to mark the defective part or the dividing position, or make a cut in the wire. For example, as a method of dividing a wire coil, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-255718, a dividing device (tab shear) installed in a coil convergence device is activated by a calculated dividing position signal. There is a way to split it. In addition, various marking devices are actuated by a dividing position signal, and paint or ink is sprayed onto the relevant area to mark it, and the area is divided offline using a hydraulic cutter, or between the finishing mill and the winding machine. There is also a method of making blade-shaped markings using a stamping device (see Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 59-94524), and a method of penetrating a wire rod into a flexible tube of rubber, plastic, etc. (see Japanese Patent Publication No. 62-279024) and the like are known.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, the method of dividing the wire with a tab shear based on the coil division signal not only results in extremely sharp cutting parts of the wire, which is not desirable from a safety standpoint.
The area near the cut portion is stretched and does not form a normal ring shape, so it is necessary to cut and remove it again. On the other hand, in the method of color marking with a marking device or blade-shaped marking with a marking device and then cutting the relevant part off-line, not only does the marking part get wrapped up in the coil, making it difficult to find, but also the marking part becomes difficult to find. Marking with ink or the like requires time and effort to remove, which is undesirable. In addition, the method of fitting a tube onto a wire rod and marking it not only makes it difficult to find because the marking part gets wrapped up inside the coil, but also, in the case of hot-rolled wire rods, rubber or plastic tubes are The problem is that it cannot be used.

[0005] In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, the present invention makes it possible to identify defective positions and split positions even in hot-rolled wire coils, and also to prevent defects that may be caught in the wire coil and become difficult to detect. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for displaying the position within a wire coil, which eliminates the need for a wire coil and makes it possible to easily and reliably find the relevant part off-line.

[Operation] The display metal wire is not particularly limited, but a thick wire with a diameter of about 3 mm is suitable. This display metal wire insertion/cutting device consists of a wire supply stand, a pinch roll, and a cutter. The pinch roll rotates in response to a defect position signal or a division position signal to feed out the wire, and then The wire is inserted between the inner coil rings, and cut with a cutter at the point where at least one end of the wire is inserted long enough to protrude from the side surface of the coil. The wire inserted between the coil rings will not separate from the coil due to the pinching force due to the weight of the wire that is subsequently wound or bundled. The wire sandwiched between the coil rings has an end protruding from one or both sides of the wire coil.
Defect locations or split locations can be clearly identified offline. Note that the length of the wire sandwiched between the coil rings is set as a standard length such that at least one end is exposed on one side of the coil in accordance with the outer diameter of the wire coil. Furthermore, in order to avoid interfering with the conveyance of the coil, it is preferable that the wire is inserted between the inner and outer surfaces of the coil, avoiding the center of the coil.

In FIG. 1, a wire rod 1 exiting a finishing mill 1
1 is supplied to the winding machine 3 via the pinch rolls 2 and wound into a ring shape. If a defect is detected by the wire defect detection device 7 during this process, the wire rod insertion command device 10 is sent from the device to the winder 3. The detection signal is sent to, and at a predetermined timing, that is, when the defect position reaches the grid wire insertion position, an operation command is sent to the pinch roll 9-2 and cutter 9-3 of the grid wire insertion/cutting device 9. When an operation command is sent from the wire insertion command device 10, the wire 12 of the wire supply stand 9-1 is fed out by the pinch roll 9-2, and the required length is inserted between the coil rings 11-1 being wound. Then, the wire is cut by the cutter 9-3. The wire 12 that has been cut and inserted between the coil rings is then sandwiched between the wire rods that are continuously wound up, with at least one end protruding to one side of the coil.

Next, in FIG. 2, the wire rod 11 exiting the finishing mill 1 is spread and loaded onto a conveyor 5 via a laying head 4, and a converging device 6 installed at the end of the conveyor.
However, if this wire is to be divided into coils corresponding to a predetermined length, a detection signal from the wire coil division position detection device 8 is sent to the wire insertion command device 10, and the wire rod is focused at a predetermined timing as described above. An operation command is sent to the pinch roll 9-2 and cutter 9-3 of the wire inserting and cutting device 9.
A wire of a set length is inserted between the coil rings 11-1 that are being focused.

[0012] Here, we have described an example in which the display of the defect position and the split position of the wire is applied separately to the winding machine in Fig. 1 and the convergence device in Fig. 2, respectively. It goes without saying that it is also possible to perform the above two types of position display on the same line by using the invention method in combination.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a wire coil after winding and convergence with a display number wire sandwiched therein by the method shown in FIG. 1 or FIG. The part protrudes from the coil body. In transporting the wire coil after winding and focusing,
There are vertical and horizontal types, but in either case, the wire 12 sandwiched between the coil bodies is subjected to a pinching force due to the ring's own weight, and can be transported without falling on the way. Therefore, in the next off-line process, the defective position or split position of the wire can be recognized at a glance by the number wire protruding from the coil body. In addition, the protruding length of the wire 12 sandwiched between the coil body can be set so as not to be longer than necessary in consideration of identifiability, workability, etc., so that it does not interfere with coil conveyance or handling. .

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the method of the present invention, defect positions or multiple division positions can be clearly displayed online when winding or converging rolled wire rods. The display part will not get caught up in the coil, making it difficult to detect, and it can be applied to both hot and cold conditions. This has a great effect on product manufacturing.
