(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to an epoxy resin composition, and more particularly, to an epoxy resin composition that has excellent low-temperature, rapid curing properties and excellent cured product properties. (Prior art) Conventionally, aliphatic polyamines, alicyclic polyamines, polyamides, aromatic polyamines, acid anhydride curing agents, phenolic curing agents, dicyandiamide, etc. have been used as curing agents for epoxy resins. Of these, polyamine curing agents and polyamides generally have the advantage of curing at relatively low temperatures, ranging from room temperature to medium temperature, but on the other hand, they have the disadvantage of short pot lives. On the other hand, acid anhydride hardeners, phenolic hardeners, and dicyandiamide generally have a long pot life and have excellent electrical and mechanical properties at high temperatures, although they do not cure unless heated to a high temperature of 100°C or higher. Because of this, it is widely used as an epoxy curing agent for casting, impregnating, laminating, and molding electrical equipment and electronic parts, and for coatings. Generally, when curing epoxy resins using these curing agents, tertiary amines such as 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol and N,N-dimethylbenzylamine, imidazoles, 1, 8-diaza-bicyclo(5,4,0)
Undecene-7 (DBU) or its salts are used as curing accelerators. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, even when these curing accelerators are used, it has not been possible to lower the curing temperature or shorten the curing time as well as polyamine curing agents and polyamides. BACKGROUND ART In recent years, with the increase in the production of electrical and electronic components, there has been a demand for epoxy resins to be cured at lower temperatures and in a shorter time in order to increase productivity and save energy. Among the above-mentioned curing accelerators, imidazole accelerates curing at relatively low temperatures, but this is still insufficient and there has been a desire for a curing accelerator with even better curing properties. Therefore, the present inventors conducted extensive research on a curing accelerator that cures in a shorter time at a relatively low temperature and has excellent properties of the cured product. As a result, the inventors discovered that 1,2-dimethylimidazole could be used as a curing accelerator. The inventors have discovered that this can be achieved by the following methods, and have completed the present invention. (Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention comprises: (A) an epoxy resin containing (B) an acid anhydride curing agent, a phenol curing agent, or dicyandiamide; and (C) 1,2-dimethylimidazole. The present invention relates to an epoxy resin composition. The epoxy resin used in the present invention has two or more epoxy groups in one molecule, such as polyhydric phenols such as bisphenol A, bisphenol F, phenol novolak, and cresol novolak, or polyethylene glycol or hexane. Polyglycidyl ethers obtained by reacting polyhydric alcohols such as diols with epichlorohydrin, polyglycidyl esters obtained from polycarboxylic acids such as hexahydrophthalic acid and terephthalic acid, and even diaminodiphenylmethane and m-aminophenol. There are glycidylamine compounds obtained. Further, alicyclic epoxies such as vinylcyclohexene dioxide and 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3,4-epoxycyclohexanecarboxylate are exemplified, and these may be used alone or in combination of two or more. In the present invention, one type or a mixture of two or more of acid anhydride type curing agents, phenol type curing agents, or dicyandiamide is used as the curing agent. Examples of acid anhydride curing agents include phthalic anhydride, tetrahydrophthalic anhydride, methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride, hexahydrophthalic anhydride, methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride, methylendomethylenetetrahydrophthalic anhydride, dodecenylsuccinic anhydride, and anhydride. Examples include pyromellitic acid.
These may be a mixture of isomers or a mixture of two or more thereof. A phenolic curing agent is a novolak type condensate of phenols, specifically phenol,
Examples include novolac type condensates such as cresol (various isomers), xylenol (various isomers), bisphenol A, pt-butylphenol, p-octylphenol, and allylphenol (various isomers). Furthermore, a polymer of p-vinylphenol can also be used as a phenolic curing agent. The amount of these curing agents used is not particularly limited, but in the case of dicyandiamide, 2 to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin, and in the case of acid anhydride-based or phenol-based curing agents, the amount of epoxy resin It is preferable to use approximately an equivalent amount to the epoxy group. The amount of 1,2-dimethylimidazole used as a curing accelerator in the present invention is usually 0.05 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin.
It is preferably in the range of 0.1 to 5 parts by weight. In the epoxy resin composition according to the present invention,
If necessary, organic solvents, reactive diluents, flexibility-imparting agents, solvents, plasticizers, flame retardants, antioxidants, colorants, fillers, and the like may be added. (Example) The present invention will be explained below with reference to Examples. Note that parts and percentages are based on weight. Example 1 Bisphenol A type epoxy resin (Epicote

80 parts of 1,2-dimethylimidazole and 2 parts of 1,2-dimethylimidazole were uniformly stirred and mixed to obtain an epoxy resin composition. The gel time of this epoxy resin composition was measured at 80°C, 100°C and 120°C, and the results are shown in Table 1. Further, the above epoxy resin composition was heated to 80°C and taken out every hour to measure the heat distortion temperature (HDT). The results are shown in Table 1.
It took about 2 hours to show HDT (80°C). Comparative Example 1 Gel time and HDT were measured in the same manner as in Example 1 except that 2 parts of 2-ethyl 4-methylimidazole was used instead of 1,2-dimethylimidazole in the components of Example 1, and the results are shown in Table 1. Indicated. It took about 4 hours to show the same HDT (80°C) as the curing temperature. Example 2 4 parts of dicyandiamide and 0.2 parts of 1,2-dimethylimidazole were added to 125 parts of an 80% acetone solution of bisphenol A type epoxy resin (Sumi Epoxy ESA-011, trade name of Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd., epoxy equivalent: 480 g/eq). , 55 parts of methyl cellosolve, 20 parts of acetone
The components were uniformly mixed and dissolved to obtain an epoxy resin composition. This epoxy resin composition was impregnated with glass fiber cloth (KS-1600, Kanebo) so that the glass fiber/epoxy resin composition (solid content) was 7/3 (weight ratio) and dried at 130°C for 10 minutes to form a prepreg. Obtained. 6 sheets of this prepreg are stacked to give a weight of 100Kg/cm 2
Press molded at 150℃ for 30 minutes under pressure to a thickness of 1mm.
A laminate was obtained. Table 2 shows the properties of the laminate. Comparative Example 2 Among the components of the epoxy resin composition of Example 2, 1,
0.2 part of 1-benzyl 2-methylimidazole was used in place of 2-dimethylimidazole. When press molding was performed at 150°C for 30 minutes in the same manner as in Example 2, the HDT was as low as 113°C and curing was insufficient, so the curing temperature was raised to 170°C and press molding was performed for 30 minutes. Table 2 shows the properties of the laminate. Example 3 o-gresol novolac epoxy resin (EOCN103S, Nippon Kayaku Co., Ltd. trade name, epoxy equivalent)
210g/eq), 55 parts of phenol novolak resin (trade name, HI, manufactured by Meiwa Kasei Co., Ltd.), 1 part of 1,2-dimethylimidazole, 1 part of carnauba wax, and 367 parts of silica powder were heated to 100°C using a heating roll. The mixture was melt-kneaded for 5 minutes to obtain a molding material for sealing. The obtained molding material was heated at 70Kg/cm 2 at 170℃ using a transfer press.
It was molded for 10 minutes. Table 3 shows the properties of the cured product obtained by post-curing the molded product at 180°C for 5 hours. Comparative Example 3 Among the components of the epoxy resin composition of Example 3, 1,
DMP-30 instead of 2-dimethylimidazole
(2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)
A cured product was obtained in the same manner as in Example 3 except that 1 part of phenol was used. Table 3 shows the properties of the cured product. As in Example 3, after molding with a transfer press, it was left to harden in a dryer at 180°C, and it took 10 hours for the HDT to reach 200°C.

The amount of CO 2 generated during 24 hours at ℃ was measured. As a result, the amount of CO 2 generated was 15.1 ml. A similar test was conducted using 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole in place of 1,2-dimethylimidazole. As a result, the amount of CO2 generated was 47.9ml
It was hot. In epoxy resin compositions using acid anhydride curing agents, the curing agent and curing accelerator are often prepared as a mixture in advance, but the curing accelerator of the present invention improves the storage stability of such a mixture. I know it's excellent. (Effects of the Invention) When the epoxy resin composition according to the present invention uses an acid anhydride curing agent, a phenolic effect agent, or dicyandiamide as a curing agent, 1,2-dimethylimidazole can be used as a curing accelerator. As a result, the curing temperature can be lowered and the curing time can be shortened compared to the case of using a conventionally known curing accelerator, so that productivity is improved and processing costs are significantly reduced.
