Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely block the entry of water from the center contact side and the coaxial cable side as well and prevent the leakage of electromagnetic waves by providing annular elastic substances, a flexible spring and gaskets for a FT type connector. CONSTITUTION:A fastener 11 to which an auxiliary fitting is connected is inserted into a coaxial cable A. Next, an inside conductor B at the end of the terminated coaxial cable A is inserted into the conduction acceptance section 7b of a center contact 7 which is mounted on a connector mainframe 1. Annular elastic substances 5, 6, prevent water from entering inside. At this time, a flexible spring 8 is forced to the inside wall face of an outside conductor D to ensure electric connection to a reinforcing sleeve 10. In addition, in fastening the connector mainframe 1 to the fastener 11, gaskets 15, 17 are used to completely block water from entering.

[Industrial Application Field] The present invention is based on JIS-C-5410 (
Designed to have a nominal impedance of 75Ω, a voltage of 1000V (effective value), and a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1.2 or less at a frequency of 1000MHz for use in outdoor facilities for television communal reception based on the general rules for high-frequency coaxial connectors. This FT type connector is particularly applicable to cases where the outer conductor of a coaxial cable is hard, such as an aluminum pipe.

[0003] This device prevents the internal conductor of the coaxial cable from coming off, allowing the connector to be reused, or when the tightening fitting and the connector body are screwed together, it does not put stress on the threaded part of the two. This method has the advantage of being able to tighten the coaxial cable firmly without any damage, but if the worker cuts the outer jacket too long when processing the end of the coaxial cable, or if the gasket inside the clamping fitting is damaged during tightening. If the outer sheath is not pressed or is damaged for some reason, water or moisture may enter through the wound, and furthermore, there are insufficient measures to prevent leakage of radio waves within the connector body.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned points, and is intended to be used when a worker cuts the outer jacket too long when processing the end of a coaxial cable, or when a coaxial cable is cut inside a fastening fitting. Even if the gasket does not apply pressure to the outer sheath during tightening, or if the outer sheath is damaged for some reason, it completely seals out moisture such as water and moisture, and prevents radio waves from entering the connector body. An object of the present invention is to provide a highly reliable FT type connector that is free from leakage.

[Operation] Before connecting a coaxial cable to a connector, either before or after the cable has been terminal-treated, insert a tightening fitting with an auxiliary fitting connected to the cable, and then connect the coaxial cable to the terminal-treated coaxial cable. Insert the tip of the internal conductor into the conductor receiving part of the center contact attached to the connector body. At this time, the pin part of the center contact located inside the connector body is pressed and sealed by the annular elastic body attached to the second insulator, and the pin part of the center contact located inside the connector body is pressed and sealed by the annular elastic body attached to the second insulator. The annular elastic body presses the inner peripheral surface of the connector body to prevent water from entering. When the inner conductor of the coaxial cable is inserted into the conductor receiving part of the center contact, the tip of the outer conductor of the coaxial cable fits into the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part of the reinforcing sleeve. The bending spring body disposed near the base of the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion is pushed by the inner wall surface of the outer conductor and stretched in the axial direction, and presses against the inner wall surface of the outer conductor to establish an electrical connection with the reinforcing sleeve. becomes certain. Then, when the tightening fitting to which the auxiliary fitting is connected is moved and screwed onto the rear outer circumferential surface of the connector body for connection, the rear end surface of the outer clamp protruding from the connector body hits the step-like wall surface inside the tightening fitting. - The inner clamp is pushed through the surface.

[0007] When the inner clamp is pressed, the inner clamp narrows toward the center because it is formed with a cut-out, and the uneven portion formed on the inner circumferential surface of the inner clamp causes the outer conductor of the coaxial cable to narrow. It is fixed by biting into the outer circumferential surface. Also, when the inner clamp is pressed, the third insulator is pushed through the thick flange of the reinforcing sleeve and press-fits the cylindrical insulator with the split flange through the tapered surface. The inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical insulator is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the conductor receiving part of the center contact, and the conductor receiving part firmly fixes the internal conductor. Furthermore, when the clamping fitting is attached to the connector body, the outer sheath of the coaxial cable is compressed by the gasket inside the auxiliary fitting, and the outer conductor of the coaxial cable is compressed by the gasket attached to the outer clamp, resulting in a water seal. Furthermore, when the inner clamp 13 is pressed,
The third insulator 9 is pushed through the thick flange 10b of the reinforcing sleeve 10, and is pressed against the cylindrical insulator 8 with the split flange a through the tapered surfaces 9b, 8b. The inner circumferential surface of the insulator 8 is pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the conductor receiving portion 7b of the center contact 7, and the internal conductor B is firmly fixed by the uneven portion formed inside the conductor receiving portion 7b. Furthermore, when the connector body 1 and the clamping fitting 11 are tightened, the outer sheath E of the coaxial cable A is attached to the gasket 17 in the auxiliary fitting 16, and the outer conductor D of the coaxial cable A is attached to the outer clamp 14. It is possible to completely seal off any water that may enter from the coaxial cable A side by being compressed by the gaskets 15 that have been installed (see Fig. 3(c)).

[Effects of the Invention] Since the FT type connector according to the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, there is a possibility that the outer cover may be cut too long by the worker when processing the end of the coaxial cable, or the gasket in the clamping fitting may be tightened. Even if you do not apply pressure to the outer cover, or if the outer cover is damaged for some reason, it will completely prevent moisture such as water and moisture from entering from both the center contact side and the coaxial cable side. can. Moreover, the outer conductor of the coaxial cable and the reinforcing sleeve inside the connector body are
Since the contact with the connector is ensured through the bending spring body, a highly reliable FT type connector with no leakage of radio waves can be obtained.
