Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure installation and electrical connection of battery to equipment by forming a positive electrode and a negative electrode so that terminal parts thereof have the magnet ism, of which polarity is different from each other, and locating the terminal parts on the same surface. CONSTITUTION:In a battery A, positive electrode mix 3 mainly composed of MnO2 and a separator 4 as power generating element are placed inside of a positive electrode current collecting plate 1 and a negative electrode current collecting plate 2, which also work as outer package of the battery and which are made of the material such as stainless steel and nickel or the like. Li as the negative electrode active material is made to pressure-weld to the inside of the current collecting plate 2. A power generating element, which consists of the positive electrode mix 3, the separator 4 and Li 5, is sealed by the current collecting plates 1, 2 and the sealing resin 6 with the heat sealing method. A magnet 7 is buried in a positive electrode terminal part 9 to form S pole, and a magnet 8 is buried in the sealing resin 6 of a negative electrode terminal part 10 so as to be N pole, and the terminal parts 9, 10 are formed in the same surface. A positive electrode terminal 11 and a negative electrode terminal 12 are located so that the N pole and the S pole are located in the outer surface thereof, and the positive and negative terminal parts of the battery side and the electric equipment side are attracted to each other by the magnetic force to prevent the reverse connection of the positive electrode and the negative electrode.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, portable electronic devices using batteries have rapidly become smaller and thinner. Along with this, the batteries used also need to be smaller and thinner. In particular, batteries attached to card-shaped devices are desired to be as thin as possible, and their electrical connection methods are also required to be simple and highly reliable. In response to these demands, various thin batteries have been developed in recent years.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Conventionally, this type of thin battery has no terminal section, so electricity must be extracted from the top and bottom of the battery using means such as battery press springs, which increases the thickness of the device. It had the disadvantage of being thicker. Also, a method has been proposed in which lead plates are spot welded to batteries and connected to equipment, but when spot welding or laser welding lead plates to lithium batteries, the melting point of lithium is 1.
Since the temperature is 79℃, lithium melts and penetrates the separator.
This has disadvantages such as causing internal short circuits and increasing manufacturing costs.

Embodiments Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be explained based on the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing one embodiment of the flat plate battery of the present invention applied to electrical equipment. In FIG. 1, a battery A has a positive electrode current collector plate 1 and a negative electrode current collector plate 2 made of materials such as stainless steel and nickel, which also serve as the exterior, and a positive electrode mixture 3 containing manganese dioxide as a main component as a power generating element, and a separator 4.
is placed. 5 is lithium, which is a negative electrode active material, and is pressure-bonded to the inside of the negative electrode current collector plate 2. The power generating element consisting of the above-mentioned 3, 4, and 5 is sealed by heat sealing with the current collector plates 1 and 2 and the sealing resin 6. In addition, the sealing resin 6
also serves as an electrical insulating layer. Further, 7 and 8 are permanent magnets with different polarities, and in this example, magnet 7
is buried in the positive electrode terminal portion 9, and the portion facing the electrical equipment serves as the south pole. Further, the magnet 8 is embedded in the sealing resin 6 of the negative electrode terminal portion 10 so that the portion facing the electrical equipment becomes the north pole. Furthermore, positive and negative terminal parts 9, 1
0 are arranged on the same plane.

Reference numeral B indicates a battery mounting surface on the electrical equipment side, and 11 is a magnetic positive terminal portion for introducing power into the equipment, and the N pole is disposed on the outer surface. Moreover, 12 is a negative electrode terminal portion which also has magnetic properties, and the S pole is arranged on the outer surface. As a result, the positive and negative terminals on the battery side and the positive and negative terminals on the electrical equipment are attracted to each other by magnetic force, so that the positive and negative terminals cannot be connected in reverse. Note that FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the battery of the present invention shown in FIG. 1.

Effects of the Invention As described above, in the present invention, the terminals of the flat battery are magnets, have different polarities, and are provided on the same surface. This makes it possible to easily and reliably contact the positive and negative electrodes, thereby preventing incorrect connection of the positive and negative electrodes. Furthermore, the battery can be easily attached and detached without sacrificing the advantage of having a thin battery, and can be applied to lithium secondary batteries, capacitors, and the like. The present invention can be applied to electronic devices such as IC cards, electronic notebooks, watches, and office automation equipment, and has great industrial value.
