PURPOSE:To offer the curl elimination and cooling device of a transfer paper which can eliminate a blocking phenomenon by eliminating the curl of a transfer paper by overcoming all the causes of the curl and simultaneously cooling the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:The proper numbers of air holes 3b, which extend in a shaft direction on the outer circumferential surface of a hollow cylindrical tube 3a, are provided in a paper carrying path near the downstream side of a heat roller fixing part. On the outside thereof, an upper roller 3 covered with an elastic body 3c whose air permeability is excellent and a lower roller 4 which is made to press-contact with the upper roller 3 and whose surface hardness is higher than the upper roller 3 are provided. Besides, a ventilation means 7 is provided on the side of the upper roller 3.

径ローラと高硬度の小径ローラで構成した凸状のニツプ
部に通紙することで、熱定着後の転写紙のカールを矯正
する技術が開示されている。

の空気を案内する円弧状のガイドカバーを遊嵌した第2
の手段により達成される。さらに上記目的は、第1の手
段において、前記下ローラの径を前記上ローラの径より
も小さくした第3の手段により達成される。

れる訳であり、これによつて転写紙Pは効率よく冷却さ
れる。また、ガイドカバー8を断熱材で構成すれば、定
着ローラ1の熱が遮断されるので、冷却効果を減少させ
ることがない。なお、9は上ローラ3の固定用ブツシユ
である。

項3記載の発明によれば、表面硬度の高い下ローラを上
ローラに比べて小径とすることで、カール除去効果をさ
らに高めることができる。
