Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily mount a light emitting element on the FP wiring board of a keyboard which is used as an information inputting means for various kinds of information processors, especially, a thin keyboard on which the light emitting element is exposed near push buttons. CONSTITUTION:A thin keyboard is provided with a switch element 2 composed of FP wiring boards 21 faced to each other with a spacer 22 in between, light emitting element chip 7 mounted on the tip of a tongue-like piece 27 formed on the boards 21, and panel 4 holding plural push buttons 1 in freely slidable state, and is constituted by fixing the chip 7 protruding from the surface of the panel 4 through an angular hole 42 formed through the panel 4 to the panel 4 by inserting a pin 43 into the gap of the hole 42.

り、特に押釦の近傍に発光素子が露呈してなる薄型キー
ボードと発光素子の実装方法に関する。

に抱持された複数の押釦をフレキシブル印刷配線基板か
らなるスイッチ素子と組み合わせ、複数の押釦スイッチ
が構成されてなる従来の薄型キーボードにおいて、パネ
ルの表面に露呈された発光素子をフレキシブル印刷配線
基板に接続する適切な方法がないため、押釦の近傍に発
光素子を露呈せしめた薄型キーボードの組立は多くの人
手を必要としていた。そこでフレキシブル印刷配線基板
への発光素子の実装が容易な薄型キーボードの実現が要
望されている。
