When the support attached to the main body is inserted into the potted soil and the potted soil dries, the drying sensor emits a detection signal, and when the surrounding area is daytime or bright due to lighting, the optical sensor emits a detection signal, and both detections are performed. Based on the signal, a warning sound device is activated and a warning sound is emitted.
Even if the potted soil is dry, the optical sensor does not emit a detection signal when the surroundings are dark, and therefore the alarm device is inactive and no alarm is emitted.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail based on the drawings. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the potting soil drying alarm has a main body 1 in the form of a leaf, and a support 2 protruding from the bottom of the main body 1 by integral molding made of synthetic resin. The main body 1 is a part that houses an alarm device 3, which will be described later, and has a sound hole 11 for a speaker on the front and a light receiving hole 12 for an optical sensor on the back. Further, the lower part of the back side is a removable battery holder 13, which can be removed to replace the battery. Leaf-like drainage grooves 14 are formed on the front and back surfaces of the main body 1. The support 2 is inserted into potting soil to support the main body 1, and the pointed tip 21 has a notch on one side in the thickness direction, and a dryness sensor 4 consisting of a pair of electrodes is exposed in this notch. Next, as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the alarm device 3 includes a speaker 31 made of a piezoelectric buzzer, a melody IC 32 for outputting an output to the speaker 31, and a mercury battery 33 as a power source. The speaker 31 has a board 34 on which a melody IC 32 is fixed.
A mercury battery 33 is also embedded in the main body 1, and a mercury battery 33 is removably positioned on the substrate 34 at a location corresponding to the battery holder 13. The optical sensor 5 is fixed on the substrate 34 at a location corresponding to the optical sensor sound hole 12, and one end of a pair of lead wires 35 is fixed. and the other end thereof is connected to the dry sensor 4. Here, the circuit configuration of the alarm device 3 including the dry sensor 4 and the optical sensor 5 will be explained with reference to FIG. First, the melody IC 32 connects the speaker 31 to the output pin, and connects the mercury battery 33 to the power pin, so that when the input pin OSH is at high level H, the speaker 3
The circuit is configured to play 1. On the other hand, a light sensor 5, a voltage generation resistor 6, and a dryness sensor 4 are connected in series to the mercury battery 33 in order from the positive side.
A point P between the resistor 6 and the dryness sensor 4 is connected to the input pin OSH of the melody IC 32. The potted soil drying alarm configured in this way has the eighth
Use the support post 2 by inserting it into the potted soil as shown in the figure. In this state of use, the main body 1 has a leaf-like shape, so it is not an eyesore, and since the main body 1 has leaf-like drainage grooves 14, even if water gets wet, it drains easily. Now, when the potting soil contains sufficient moisture, the pair of electrodes of the dry sensor 4 are electrically connected through the potting soil, so the potential at point P in FIG. Input pin OSH becomes low level L. Therefore, the speaker 31 does not produce sound. Furthermore, when the surroundings are dark, such as at night, the optical sensor 5 is inactive and cuts off the circuit, so in this case as well, the level of the point P or the input pin OSH is at the low level L, and the speaker 31 does not produce sound. Here, if the potting soil is dry, the dryness sensor 4
The conduction between the pair of electrodes is cut off, and at this time, when the surroundings are bright during the day or under illumination, the optical sensor 5 is activated and the power supply voltage is applied to the resistor 6, so that the point P is set at a predetermined value determined by the resistor 6. This voltage is brought to the input pin OSH of the melody IC 32 as a high level signal H. Therefore, at this time, the output of the melody IC 32 causes the speaker 31 to play a predetermined melody to warn that the potted soil is dry and needs watering. The dry alarm device of the above embodiment can of course be applied not only to potted soil but also to field soil, and by holding the main body 1 or support 2 appropriately, it can be used for detecting a decrease in water level. can also be used.

As explained above, according to the present invention, when the potting soil dries when the support is set in the potting soil, the drying sensor emits a detection signal, and if the surroundings are bright at that time, the optical sensor emits a detection signal, and both Based on the detection signal, the alarm device is activated to emit an alarm sound. Therefore, the drying state of the potted soil can be determined with certainty, and it is possible to prevent the potted plants from watering down. Furthermore, even if the potting soil is dry, the optical sensor will not emit a detection signal and no alarm will be emitted when the surrounding area is dark. In other words, there is no need to inadvertently emit an alarm in the office at night or at home after the lights are turned off, so there is no wastage of energy and no disturbance to sleep.
