Abstract

PURPOSE:To heighten reliability for the loading of an adaptor on a camera main body CONSTITUTION:The above camera is equipped with the camera main body 1 providing with a photographic lens 5 and a first connector 8, and the adaptor 13 providing with a second connector 15 connectable to the first connector 8, and a pin 26 and a pin insertion hole 23 fittable between the loading plane of the adaptor 13 and that of the camera main body 1 are provided. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the adaptor 13 from being loaded erroneously by inserting the pin 26 to the pin insertion hole 23 when the adaptor 13 is loaded on the camera main body 1, and to prevent the damage of the camera main body 1 and the adaptor 13 and that of an electronic circuit from occurring.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an adapter-separable type video camera in which a video tape recorder (VTR) connection adapter and a camera body can be separated.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, so-called adapter-separated type video cameras, in which a camera body and an adapter for connecting to a VTR are separated, have been frequently used.

Conventionally, this type of adapter-separate video camera has been constructed as shown in FIGS. 2, 3(A) and 3(B). To explain this based on the same figure, in the same figure, what is indicated by reference numeral 1 is a main body for a video camera, which includes a base 4 having an operation switch 2 and a shoulder pad 3, and a front upper end surface of this base 4. The camera has a housing 7 which is provided with a photographic lens 5 and a handle 6, and a printed circuit board (not shown) and the like are housed within the housing 7.
