て厚生省から特殊栄養食品として許可されているのは、
還元麦芽糖(マルチトール)だけである。従来、エネル
ギーにならない難消化性糖類として使用されていたマル
チトールが、最近になって、大腸菌による発酵により有
機酸(酢酸、プロピオン酸、酪酸など)を生成し、これ
らの有機酸が大腸から吸収されてエネルギー源として利
用されることが明らかとなり、難消化性糖類としてのマ
ルチトールのエネルギーの評価が疑問視された。199

を効率よく調製することができる。かかる流動層造粒は
、常法に準じて行うことができ、例えば、ポリデキスト
ロース、マルチトール、賦形剤等を流動層造粒乾燥器に
仕込み、適当な温度の温風で吹き上げて流動させながら
、必要に応じてゼラチン等の助剤を添加したバインダー
液を噴霧して造粒し、噴霧終了後、温風で吹き上げて乾
燥させ、篩別し、所望する画分を分離することにより、
顆粒剤が得られる。なお、本発明の甘味料は、吸湿性を
有するので、防湿性の包装材料を用いて一定量ずつ小分
けして包装するのが好ましい。かくして得られた本発明

粉末ステビオシド及び粉末ソーマチンを温湯(300m
l)に溶解してバインダー液を調製した。一方、上記所
定量の粉末ポリデキストロース、粉末マルチトール及び
粉末エリスリトールを流動層造粒乾燥器に仕込み、温風
(セット温度60℃)で吹き上げて流動させながら、上
記のバインダー液を噴霧して造粒した(噴霧時間:90
分間)。噴霧終了後、温風で吹き上げて乾燥させた(乾
燥時間:30分間)。乾燥後、篩別し、16〜50メッ
