Abstract

PURPOSE:To call an application program just by pushing once a program function key through a terminal equipment by providing a correspondence table to a host computer. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 containing an application program 5 is provided with a correspondence table 4 and an allocation program 3. A terminal equipment 2 consists of a display device 9 and a keyboard 6. The keyboard 6 includes a program function key and other keys. The table 4 shows the correspondence among the names of all terminal equipments 2, the identification names of all program function keys of the equipments 2, and the names of the desired application programs which are started in response to the identification names of the function keys respectively. The program 3 receives the reception data from the equipment 2 and retrieves the table 4 with the name of the equipment 2 and the identification name of the program function key.
