The first extruded body 31, the second extruded body 32, and the fourth extruded body 34 located above the door belt line 5 are each made of an extruded product having the same cross section, and their cross-sectional shapes are shown in FIG. has been done. In FIG. 5, reference numeral 9 denotes a guide portion having a substantially U-shaped cross section for slidingly guiding the window glass 2;
0 is a design part with a substantially U-shaped cross section that also serves as an attachment part to the window frame 1. Since the surface of this design part 10 is exposed on the side of the passenger compartment 12, there is usually some material installed here to improve its appearance. Texturing is performed in the range of arrow P in FIG. During the graining process, a roller with a grain pattern is pressed onto the surface of the design portion 10 to transfer the grain pattern, but since the design portion 10 needs to have rigidity that can withstand the pressing force of the roller, the first extruded body 31, the second extruded body 32, and the fourth extruded body 34 have sheet metal inserts 11 embedded therein for reinforcement, respectively. On the other hand, the third extrusion body 33 and the fifth extrusion body 35 located below the door belt line 5 do not need to have a design part because they are not exposed to the outside. 6, it is extrusion-molded to have a cross-sectional shape consisting only of the guide portion 9.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, according to the conventional door glass run 4, the sheet metal insert 1 has to be textured in a portion corresponding to the door mirror bracket 3.
It was necessary to provide the second extruded body 32 in which the extruded body 1 was embedded between the first extruded body 31 and the third extruded body 33. For this reason, the number of component parts of the door glass run 4 is five, which not only makes manufacturing and management of these parts troublesome, but also increases the number of mold connections and the number of molds, resulting in high costs. Further, the sheet metal insert 11 is usually formed with a large number of slits so that the extruded body can be curved in the longitudinal direction during assembly, so when a textured roller is applied from above, the surface of the designed surface 10 is formed. Since bellows-like insert marks may appear, there is a need to improve the design of the second extruded body 32 in the vicinity of the door mirror bracket 3, which is particularly likely to be seen by passengers.

[0008] Here, the "first extruded body" is a conventional first extruded body.
It can be extruded to have the same cross-sectional shape as the extruded body, and a sheet metal insert is embedded here. The "second extruded body" can be extruded to have the same cross-sectional shape as the conventional third extruded body, and no sheet metal insert is embedded therein. When molding the above-mentioned "connection part", that is, connecting the first extrusion body and the second extrusion body, by using a mold with a textured pattern on the molding surface, the connection part is molded in the vicinity of the door mirror bracket. A grain is formed on the surface exposed to the indoor side at the same time as the mold connection. Also, when molding the "design piece", by using a mold with a grain pattern, grains are formed on the surface of the design piece exposed to the indoor side in the vicinity of the door mirror bracket at the same time as the mold is connected. be done. Note that when the connecting portion and the design piece are molded using one mold, they are molded simultaneously so as to be continuous with each other, and the grains are also formed continuously and at the same time.

[Operation] According to the automobile door glass run of the present invention,
The abutting ends of the first extrusion body and the second extrusion body are connected by molding to form a connection part, and the connection part extends from the lower end of the connection part on the passenger compartment side to below the door belt line. Since the design pieces that overlap on the passenger compartment side are molded, parts corresponding to the conventional second extruded body are omitted. Therefore, the number of component parts, the number of man-hours for molding, and the number of molds can be reduced, and the product can be manufactured at low cost. In particular, if the connecting portion and the design piece are molded using one mold, the number of man-hours for molding can be further reduced. In addition, when molding the connecting parts and design pieces, if a mold with a grain pattern is used to form the grain at the same time as molding, unlike when using a roller, there will be no insert marks on the surfaces of the joints and design pieces. It is possible to form grains that do not appear and have a sharper appearance, thereby improving the design of the area near the door mirror bracket.

Therefore, according to the door glass run 4 of this embodiment, the connecting portion 7 is molded at the abutting ends of the first extruded body 21 and the second extruded body 22, and at the same time, the connecting portion 7 is molded into the passenger compartment. Since the design piece 25 extending from the lower end of the side to below the door belt line 5 and overlapping the vehicle interior side of the second extruded body 22 is molded, parts corresponding to the conventional second extruded body 32 are omitted. For this reason, the entire structure can be constructed from four parts, and compared to the conventional art, the number of component parts, the number of molding steps, and the number of molds can be reduced, making it possible to manufacture the device at low cost. In addition, since the connecting portion 7 and the design piece 25 are formed with a grain at the same time as molding using a mold 6 with a grain pattern, insert marks will appear on the surface of the design piece 25, unlike when using a roller. Moreover, it is possible to form grains with a sharper appearance.
As shown in FIG. 2, the design of the portion that protrudes from the door mirror bracket 3 and is exposed to the vehicle interior 12 can be improved.
