Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a multiple needle sewing machine by forming a retainer into a plate body in the sewing machine in which a looper yarn is engaged with the engaging tooth of the retainer and moved to form a loop at the time of entwining the needle threads of a number of needles and the looper thread of a looper to form a seam. CONSTITUTION:In a sewing machine in which a number of needles 26 are juxtaposed nearly orthogonally to a cloth advancing direction, and the needle thread of each needle 26 is entwined with a looper 24 to form a seam, a retainer 10 is formed into a plate body, and a sawtooth engaging tooth 12 is formed on its top edge. In the rear edge part of the retainer 10, holes 14... for fixing the retainer 10 to a mounting bar 20 for laterally oscillating the retainer 10 are bored. The looper 24 and the needles 26 are provided in correspondence to the engaging tooth 12 of the retainer 10. A looper yarn 23 is passed through the top end of the looper 24, and the corresponding looper yarn 23 of the looper 24 is caught by each engaging tooth 12 on the retainer 10 top edge and moved to the right through the mounting bar 20, whereby a triangular loop is formed by the looper yarn 23.

[Prior Art] In so-called double chain stitching, a lower thread inserted through the tip of a looper is separated by a retainer to form a loop, and the upper thread inserted through the tip of a needle is passed through this loop. A seam is formed. The movement of conventional loopers, retainers, etc. will be explained with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8. A bobbin thread 3 is inserted through the tip of the looper 2, and the looper 2 is rotated in the direction of the arrow around the rotation shaft 2a (
(See Figure 6). Then, the lower thread 3 is caught in the recess 4a at the tip of the retainer 4 and moved to the upper right in FIG. 7, so that the lower thread 3 forms a triangular loop 3a. As the needle 5 is lowered into the loop 3a (see FIG. 8), the looper 2 retreats, and when the needle 5 enters the loop 3a, the retainer 4 moves to the left. Then, as the needle 5 rises, the looper 2 moves forward and hooks the upper thread, and the upper thread and lower thread 3
are involved. On the other hand, the retainer 4 was inserted into a through hole 6a drilled in the mounting rod 6, taking into consideration the protrusion length, and was fixed with a screw 7 screwed into a screw hole communicating with the through hole 6a (Fig. 6
reference).

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the conventional retainer, the irregular rotational speed of the sewing machine and the quality of the thread cause the thread to run out. It is difficult to hook the thread in a certain position. For example, in FIG. 9, when the bobbin thread 3 is caught on the base side of the recess 4a of the retainer 4, the loop 3a is located on the base side of the retainer 4 (indicated by a solid line), and the bobbin thread 3 is caught at the tip of the retainer 4. Loop 3 if you get caught
a is located on the distal end side of the retainer 4 (indicated by a dotted line). When the needle 5 descends between the loop 3a shown by the solid line and the loop 3a shown by the dotted line, the loop 3a shown by the solid line (
A seam cannot be formed in the loop 3a) on the base side of the recess 4a of the retainer 4. Note that by ensuring a large amount of movement of the retainer 4, the loop 3a can be formed large, and the loop 3a can be reliably formed.
The needle 5 can be lowered into a. However, in a multi-needle sewing machine, the distance between the needles 5 and the looper 2 is narrow, so the amount of movement of the retainer 4 is limited. For this reason, in conventional multi-needle sewing machines, it has been impossible to narrow the needle spacing and form reliable stitches. In addition, in the conventional method of attaching the retainer 4, the retainer 4 is positioned in the through hole 6a drilled in the attachment rod 6 while taking into account the protrusion length and fixed with the screws 7, so the retainer 4 is not easily attached or replaced. It's a hassle. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a multi-needle sewing machine that can form reliable stitches even when the distance between needles is narrowed.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention has the following configuration. In other words, when a large number of needles are arranged in parallel in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of fabric movement, and the upper thread of each needle is entwined with the lower thread of the looper to form a seam,
A retainer provided corresponding to each looper engages the lower thread of each looper with the engagement teeth of the retainer and moves it horizontally and in the direction in which the needles are arranged side by side, thereby forming a loop in which the needles descend. The needle sewing machine is characterized in that the retainer is formed into an integral plate-shaped body, and the plate-shaped body is provided with engaging teeth corresponding to each looper. Note that the row of engaging teeth may be formed into a saw blade shape.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. A retainer according to the present invention is shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 2 shows the state in which this retainer is attached. The retainer 10 is a plate-shaped body, and a plurality of saw blade-shaped engagement teeth 12 are formed on the tip edge. The tip of this retainer 10 is slightly curved. On the other hand, a mounting rod 2 for swinging the retainer 10 from side to side is attached to the rear end edge of the retainer 10.
Holes 14 for fixing to zero are bored. A notch 21 is formed in the mounting rod 20 at a position where the retainer 10 is attached. To attach the retainer 10, align the holes 14 of the retainer 10 with the screw holes 20a formed in the mounting rod 20, and then
Fix by 2. Moreover, large openings 10a, 10a are formed in the center of the retainer 10, thereby reducing the weight of the retainer 10. The engagement teeth 12 of the retainer 10 are shown in a sawtooth shape, and one side is formed continuously on the inclined side 12a and the other side is formed continuously on the vertical side 12b.

The movement of the retainer 10 formed as described above will be explained with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5 as well as FIG. 2. A lower thread 23 is inserted through the tip of the looper 24, and the looper 24 is rotated in the direction of the arrow around a rotation shaft 24a. Then, each engagement tooth 1 on the tip edge of the retainer 10
2, the lower threads 23 of the corresponding loopers 24 are hooked and moved to the right in FIG. 4 via the attachment rods 20. As the retainer 10 moves, the bobbin thread 23 creates a triangular loop 2.
3a is formed. As the needle 26 is lowered into the loop 23a (see FIG. 5), the looper 24 retreats, and when the needle 26 enters the loop 23a, the retainer 10 moves to the left. Then, as the needle 26 rises,
The looper 24 moves forward and catches the upper thread, causing the upper thread and lower thread 23 to become entangled.

Furthermore, in the engagement tooth 12 of the retainer 10 according to this embodiment, the lower limit of the bobbin thread 23 is regulated at a certain position by the base 12d of the engagement tooth 12, so that the lower limit of the bobbin thread 23 is regulated at a certain position.
3 loops 23a are always formed at fixed positions. Therefore, the falling position of the needle 26 can be brought closer to the imaginary line connecting the top portion 12c of the retainer 10. Note that, since the retainer according to the present invention is a plate-shaped body, it can be easily formed by cutting a metal plate with a general machine tool. Further, the vertical side 12b of the engaging tooth 12 may not be vertical, but the base 12d of the vertical side 12b may be brought closer to the corresponding inclined side 12a, that is, the engaging tooth 12 has a shape that allows the bobbin thread 23 to engage. It's good to have. Although the present invention has been variously explained above with reference to preferred embodiments, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and it goes without saying that many modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. .

[Effects of the Invention] The retainer according to the present invention has the following remarkable effects. ■ It is not necessary to separately process each bar-shaped retainer and attach each one to the mounting rod that drives the retainer, as in the past. That is, since it can be formed by processing a plate-shaped body, it can be easily processed using a machine tool. ■ Since a single plate-like body can perform the functions of multiple conventional rod-shaped retainers, the number of parts can be reduced. (2) Furthermore, when attaching the retainer to the attachment rod that drives the retainer, there is no need to adjust the position of each retainer one by one as in the past, and since it is a plate-shaped structure, it can be attached extremely easily. ■ The retainer according to the present invention is formed into a saw blade shape, and the bobbin thread is positioned in the recessed portion at the boundary of each engaging tooth, so unlike conventional retainers, it is not possible to determine where the bobbin thread is held. There is no possibility that variations will occur. ■ The saw blade-shaped engagement teeth of the retainer have sharp tips and are inclined in the engagement direction, so the bobbin thread can be caught smoothly. On the other hand, a large space can be secured on the rear side in the direction of movement of the engaging teeth when the engaging teeth are moved while hooking the bobbin thread.
