Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a tubular container which is not required to heat in the production process, by constituting the container so that a first layer of a normal temperature adhesive covers a first face coming into contact with a sheet- shaped member of an opening tape and further, a second layer covers the end of a second face. CONSTITUTION: This container is made of a flat and rectangular sheet 3 formed of a long sheet 4 laterally cut and provided with the inner face 5 being in contact with a product 2 to be wrapped demarcated by two vertical edges 6 and two lateral edges 7, and belt zones 8, 9 extending along respective vertical and lateral edges 6, 7 of the inner face 5 are covered with normal temperature adhesive layers 10, 11 respectively. The sheet 3 is folded at the peripheral sides of the product 2 to be wrapped and two belt zones 8 are mutually brought into contact with each other together with the adhesive layer 10 to form a flap 12. The flap is vertically extended at the external side of the container 1 and folded along the outside face of the sheet 3. The adhesive layers 11 of the belt zone 9 in the container 1 are stuck to each other at the confronted parts to form two lateral flaps 13. In this way, the container 1 is completed and hence, the container can be fabricated without heating.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the field of foodstuffs, it is known to use so-called cylindrical packaging, especially for packaging foodstuffs that are approximately parallelepiped-shaped. It is made from a continuous strip of material, with one side (hereinafter referred to as the "inner side") that facilitates contact with the packaged product, and a heat-sealable adhesive along each longitudinal edge on both sides. A layer of adhesive is formed.

Generally, the above-mentioned food products are produced by arranging a plurality of packaged products inside the strip material, folding the strip material in the transverse direction, bringing the adhesive layers formed along both longitudinal edges into contact with each other, and heating the product. By fusing, a continuous cylindrical container is formed with ears on the sides formed by adhering the opposing longitudinal edges together. The continuous cylindrical container described above is cut in the next step, and each cut end is fused to a predetermined length, resulting in a leak-proof cylindrical package for the packaged product.

[0004] For many foodstuffs packaged in the above manner, the packaging is easy to open, and moreover, the packaging is not damaged by opening, and a portion of the packaging remains until the food items inside are eaten. It must be made like this. This problem can be solved by attaching a laterally extending opening tape to each package so that the package can be cut and divided into upper and lower halves. However, in order to open the package in this manner, the tip of the opening tape must come out of the tab formed by adhering the longitudinal edges together.

[0005] In general, the above-mentioned opening tape is made of a material that can be fused by heat, or is coated with such a material and attached to a continuous strip by heat-sealing. During the subsequent heat-sealing process described above to form the cylindrical container, the longitudinal edges of the strip are affected and the tape sandwiched between the longitudinal edges is It also affects the edges.

The above-mentioned known tubular packaging has the disadvantage that its manufacturing process requires a heating step, which deteriorates the quality of the packaged product. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a cylindrical container that does not require a heating step in the manufacturing process.

[0008] The adhesive is a room-temperature adhesive, a first layer of the room-temperature adhesive covers the first surface of the opening tape that is in contact with the sheet-like member, and a second layer of the room-temperature adhesive covers the opening tape. It is characterized by a configuration in which at least an end portion of the second surface is covered. Preferably, a room-temperature adhesive layer is also formed on the inner surface in contact with the opening tape.

The container or package 1 is assembled by folding the sheet 3 around the package 2 and bringing the two zones 8 into contact with each other with a layer of adhesive 10 covering them and joining the flap 1.
2, the flap extends longitudinally on the outside of the container 1, as shown in FIG. 1, and is folded along the outside surface of the sheet 3. The container 1 has adhesive layers 11 of zones 9 glued together in facing parts and two lateral flaps 13.
It is completed by forming.

If, as shown in the example, sheet 3
is part of a continuous elongated sheet 4, the step of bonding the adhesive layer 11 to form the flap 13 can be performed simultaneously with the step of cutting the elongated sheet 4 in the lateral direction. According to the illustrated example, in particular FIG. 2(a), the container 1 further has an opening tape 14, which is attached to the longitudinal edges in adhesion with the intermediate zone 15 on the inner side 5 of the sheet 3. It extends in the direction intersecting 6. As shown more clearly in FIG. 2(b), intermediate zone 15 is preferably coated with a cold adhesive layer 16. The length of the opening tape 14 is at least from the inside of one band 8 to the longitudinal edge 6 of the other band.
The opening tape 14 passes through one longitudinal band 8 and also covers the two bands 8 where the ears 12 are formed.

According to the description in FIG. 2(b), the first surface 17 of the opening tape 14 is in contact with the intermediate zone 15 on the inner surface 5 of the sheet material 3, and is covered with a room-temperature adhesive layer 18. A second surface 19 opposite to the first surface 17 is at least partially covered with a room-temperature adhesive layer 20. In particular, said adhesive layer 20 is formed on the second side at the end 21 of the opening tape 14 joined to one of the zones 8, as in the illustrated embodiment.

From the above description, it will be understood that the container 1 described above can be manufactured without going through a heating process. Also, this container 1 is completely leak-proof and is suitable for food packaging. can meet the normal requirements of sanitary regulations. The presence of the room-temperature adhesive layer 20 on at least a portion of the second surface 19 at the end 21 of the opening tape 14 allows the packaging 1 to be attached along the edge piece 12.
This can ensure complete sealing, which eliminates the disadvantages of normal room-temperature bonding, i.e.,
It is possible to eliminate the drawback that adhesive stability cannot be ensured unless there is an adhesive layer on both adhesive surfaces. Therefore, the packaging 1 cannot completely prevent liquid leakage without the adhesive layer 20.
