おいても同様である。従来より、地下水の竪穴内への浸
水を防止するために図3に示すように、ディープウェル
1を用いて揚水することにより行っている。図中、符号

シート20を建て込む。不透水性シート20の建て込み
方法としても止水壁の構築方法(特願平1ー28683
3号)等、本発明を実施するうえで好適なものを用いれ
ばよい。不透水性シート20を建て込んだ前記溝21内
にモルタル等の不透水性材料を充填する。以上により地
下水の深礎杭を構築すべき竪穴10内への浸水を防止す
ることができる。なお、深礎杭を構築するには、上記工
程の後に従来工法と同様に山止め材11を用いて山止め
しながら人力により掘り下げて行けば良い。その際、前
記不透水性シート20が囲繞する地盤G内に存する地下
水が竪穴10内に浸水した場合には排水ポンプ等の排水
手段により排水すれば良い。次に、以上のように構成さ
れた止水工法の作用について説明する。溝21内に建て
込んだ不透水性シート20は、不透水性シート20の外
側の地盤Gから内側の地盤Gに地下水が侵入するのを防
止する。また、下端が不透水層Iにまで至るので、前記
不透水性シート20の下から地下水が廻り込んで竪穴1
0内に浸水するのを防止する。次に、止水工法の効果に
ついて説明する。不透水性シート20が竪穴10内への
