However, when injecting or collecting blood from patients with infectious diseases, it is necessary to handle the injection needle carefully after use. This is because, after injecting a patient with an infectious disease, they may accidentally prick their finger when removing the needle or storing the removed needle in the protector. There was a risk of infection. In addition, if you dispose of the needle as it is or dispose of it while it is stored in a protector,
This has caused serious problems such as the protector's cap coming off and causing secondary infections due to bacteria, viruses, etc. remaining on the surface or inside of the discarded injection needle. In addition, as a preventive measure, disinfecting and disposing of used injection needles requires great care due to the technical nature of the procedure, which consumes a lot of time and effort.

(Configuration Example) The injection needle protector for preventing secondary infection of the present invention will be described in detail using an example shown in FIG. The syringe needle protector 1 for preventing secondary infection of the present invention has a cylindrical shape with one end closed and the other end open and long enough to accommodate a syringe needle, and the hub of the syringe needle is fitted into the opening 6. A protector main body 3 comprising a fitting part 5 that can be fitted together and having a hardness that prevents the injection needle from penetrating the protector main body 3, a disinfectant 4 filled without storing the injection needle inside the protector main body 3, and an opening. A used and contaminated injection needle is inserted into the sealing member 2 by liquid-tightly covering the part 6 with the disinfectant 4 filled with the disinfectant 4. It consists of a sterilizing composition.

The sealing member 2 needs to be liquid-tight since the protector body 3 is filled with the disinfectant 4. Therefore, one that seals the opening 6 is preferable. The material may be a thin film of aluminum, rubber, or plastic that can be pierced by a syringe needle, or a material that can be sealed liquid-tight if the method is to remove the sealing member 2 and then store the syringe needle. If so, it can be used as appropriate. In this case, a tab may be attached to make it easier to peel off.

The material of the protector body 3 is polypropylene, vinyl chloride, polycarbonate, etc., so that the disinfectant 4 filled in it does not volatilize until the time of use, and the material is hard enough to prevent the needle from accidentally piercing through the inner side of the protector body 3 when stored. Any material having the following properties can be used as appropriate. In addition, a material that can be incinerated when disposed of, such as paper clay, may be used, and in that case, the inner surface may be coated with a protector film or the like to prevent the disinfectant inside from seeping out. In addition, the protector body 3 may be transparent in order to confirm whether or not it is stored and its condition, and it may be colored red or the like to distinguish whether it is a protector for a hypodermic needle before use or if it has been used for a specific infectious disease. It's okay.

The disinfectant 4 must have a disinfecting effect that suppresses the activity of bacteria and viruses to the extent that infection does not occur; for example, Hibiten liquid (Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals)
(manufactured by Meiji Seika Co., Ltd.), isodine liquid (manufactured by Meiji Seika Co., Ltd.), sodium dichlorite, alcohol, etc. can be suitably used. In addition, these disinfectants 4
may be in gel form. The amount of disinfectant 4 may be such that when the injection needle is stored, the tip of the shortest needle is submerged in the disinfectant 4 liquid.

The disinfectant of this injection needle protector 1 for preventing secondary infection is impregnated into water-absorbing continuous foam. That is, the protector main body 3 contains a water-absorbing continuous cell 11 in addition to a disinfectant. The role of this water-absorbing continuous foam 11 is to prevent the disinfectant 4 from overflowing from between the opening 6 of the protector body 3 and the hub of the needle when a used injection needle is inserted into the protector body 3. In addition, the needle tip of the injection needle is fixed to prevent the injection needle from coming out of the injection needle protector 1 for preventing secondary infection. The water-absorbing continuous foam 11 may be one that reacts with the disinfectant 4 and is adsorbed to the continuous foam 11,
Any disinfectant other than those that reduce the effectiveness of the disinfectant 4 can be used as appropriate.

Example 1 A protector main body 3 having the shape shown in Fig. 1 was molded from polypropylene, and the openings were molded from polyethylene and fused together to create a protector body 3 with a total length of 58 mm and an inner diameter of the opening 8 of 5.8 mm. did. As the sealing member 2 for liquid-tightly covering the opening 8, a thin aluminum film having a thickness of 0.1 mm was deposited. The disinfectant used was a 0.4% diluted Hibitene solution manufactured by Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals, and the solution was filled to a level 20 mm from the opening. Therefore, when we used a used syringe with a needle to store and disinfect the needle, we were able to operate it without having to prick our fingers with the needle tip.

Example 2 As shown in Fig. 3, a cellulose sponge was inserted into the syringe needle protector for preventing secondary infection until it was 20 mm from the opening, and the Hibiten solution used in Example 1 was poured until the liquid level reached 20 mm. It is the same as Example 1 except that it was filled until it appeared. Therefore, after performing the same operation as in Example 1, the disinfectant did not leak even when it was laid down on its side.

As shown in FIG. 3a, the used injection needle 8 is inserted into the syringe 7 through the sealing member 2 of the injection needle protector 1 for preventing secondary infection. Figure 3b
As shown in the figure, after the fitting part 5 and the hub 9 of the injection needle 8 are fitted, the pusher 10 is pulled until the disinfectant 4 is injected into the syringe 7. By this operation shown in FIG. 3c, not only the outer surface of the injection needle 8 but also the inner surface and the inside of the syringe are disinfected. After these operations, the syringe 7, the injection needle 8, and the injection needle protector 1 for preventing secondary infection are burned together without being separated, so there is no risk of contamination. There is less chance of accidentally pricking one's fingers, and it can be sterilized while being stored, and can be disposed of while being stored. Therefore, secondary infection can be prevented.
