で軒樋の端部が嵌合する嵌合凹所を形成する方法

着し、この圧着部分14の両側に夫々継手本体3
との間で軒樋Dの端部が嵌合する嵌合凹所4を形
成し、カバー部材10の周方向の両端は夫々上記
耳受部12の内面に沿つて折り曲げられた括れ片
5で継手本体3に連続する。第1図a,b,cに
は、上記形状の軒樋継手Cを一枚の金属板で形作
る成形過程の一例を示すものであり、矩形状の基
板1の対向する二辺中央より夫々括れ片5を介し
て突片2が延出する形状に一枚の金属板を裁断し
て得られる金属素板Aを成形し、基板1で上記の
継手本体3を形作ると共に突片2で上記のカバー
部材10を形作る。上記金属素板Aは、先ず、同
図aに示す平板から同図bに示すように、各突片
2の先端を突き合すようにして円筒状に折り曲げ
ると共に突片2同士をその突き合せ箇所Xで溶接
して金属筒Bを作り出し、次いでこの金属筒B
を、突片2及び括れ片5を含む部分を残りの部
分、すなわち、基板1がわへ押し込む形に、金型
(図示せず)を用いて最終形状にプレス成形する
ものであり、このプレス成形時に、同図cに示す
ように、基板1両端部の内面がわに夫々軒樋Dと
同形をした弧状のスペーサ治具6を配することに
より、基板1両側に夫々突片2との間で周方向に
沿つて一様な間隙となつた上記嵌合凹所4を作り
出す。また、このプレス成形時に、基板1の両側
上端部に上記耳受部12が成形されると共に、突
片2、すなわち、カバー部材10の中央が基板
1、すなわち、継手本体3へ上述のように圧着し
てこの圧着部分14の両側に上記嵌合凹所4が形
成され、上記括れ片5は耳受部12の内周に重複

所が形成された二重構造の軒樋継手を、所定形状

形によつて成形することができるものであり、従
つて、従来のように、予じめ別々に夫々弧状に成
形した二枚の部材を2箇所で半田付けなどで結合
する場合と異り、両者の結合が一度で済み、また
一度のプレス成形によつて基板と突片との間にで
きる嵌合凹所の間隙を周方向に亘つて均一に仕上
げることができるという利点がある。
