Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the effect of an electromagnetic wave onto a head of a human body by incorporating a transmission antenna for a telephone set main body into the cordless telephone set and coating a side face of a handset with an electromagnetic wave shielding member. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnetic wave shielding member 7 is formed into a lamination structure comprising an electromagnetic wave absorbing body 7a and an electromagnetic wave reflecting body 7b, which reflects/absorbs only the electromagnetic wave radiating from a transmission antenna 5 incorporated in the telephone set main body 2 thereby reducing the effect of the electromagnetic wave onto a head of a human body. Moreover, a paint having a shield effect against the electromagnetic wave may be coated to an outer face or an inner face of the telephone set main body 2.
