からアイドリング状態であるか否かを判定するア
イドリング判定手段と、該アイドリング判定手段
によつてアイドリング状態と判定したときには前
記クランク角センサによるエンジン回転数に基づ
き各気筒から前記酸素センサまでの排気ガス到達
時間を演算する到達時間演算手段と、該到達時間
演算手段で演算した排気ガス到達時間と前記クラ
ンク角センサによるクランク角とにより、いずれ
の気筒から酸素センサに到達した排気ガスである
かを決定する気筒別到達ガス決定手段と、該気筒
別到達ガス決定手段で決定した各気筒ごとの酸素
濃度を前記酸素センサで検出し、この検出値から
アイドリング時に各気筒において失火したか否か
を判定する気筒別失火判定手段と、失火によつて
燃焼室内に残留する混合ガスの残留量を前記クラ
ンク角センサで検出したエンジン回転数との関係
で演算する残留量演算手段と、燃料噴射量に対し
て該残留量演算手段によつて演算される残留量を
補正演算する燃料噴射量補正演算手段とからなる
