In this particular embodiment, it is a twisted pair of wires having two twisted insulated wires 12,14. Each insulated wire 12, 14 has a core 13, 15 consisting of a number of copper strands covered with insulation coatings of different colors, preferably red and white, similar to conventional wires. Such twisted insulated wire 1
Instead of the prior art technique of placing braided wire directly around the complex shape of wires 2 and 14, the present invention places an inner sheath 16 made of insulating plastic, which may be PVC. This inner cover 16 has a substantially perfect circular outer surface, and the braided wire 18 is fixedly attached to the outer surface. In a preferred embodiment, a thin adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the inner jacket 16 to securely secure the braided wire 18 thereto. If necessary, the outer surface of the braided wire 18 or the inner sheath 16 may be heated to thermally fix the two. Conventionally on the outside of the braided wire, e.g. PV
A shielded twisted cable 1 is formed by forming an outer sheath 20 of C.

Figures (A) and (B) show a longitudinal cross-sectional view and a cross-sectional view, respectively. As is clear from the figure, the outer sheath 20, the braided wire 18 and the inner sheath 16 at one end of the shielded twisted cable 10
are cut to expose a predetermined length of the twisted insulated wires 12 and 14, and the twisted insulated wires 12, 14 are connected by known techniques such as pressure welding, crimping, or soldering as needed, although not shown. Furthermore, the outer covering 20 is removed,
A predetermined length of the braided wire 18 is exposed.

。As can be understood from the above description, according to the present invention, a braided wire is provided on the outer periphery of a plurality of twisted insulated wires via an inner sheath having a substantially perfect circular outer surface. It is characterized by being adhered and fixed to the inner jacket. Therefore, the workability of connecting such a shielded twisted cable to an electrical connector or the like is extremely excellent. That is, the inner ferrule can be easily inserted inside the braided wire via the inner sheath. Moreover, since the cut braided wire is adhered and fixed to the outer surface of the inner sheath, it is possible to effectively prevent the cut short braided wire pieces from scattering and causing trouble to electronic equipment and the like.

シールド型ツイストケーブルの接続装置。2. A shielded twisted cable having an inner sheath, a shielding braided wire, and an outer sheath sequentially formed around the outer periphery of a plurality of twisted insulated wires, and removing the outer sheath from at least one end of the cable, a hard annular inner ferrule inserted between the insulated wire and the inner sheath; and an annular outer ferrule arranged around the outer periphery of the exposed braided wire at one end of the cable via a connected conductor. A connecting device for a shielded twisted cable, characterized in that the outer ferrule is crimped to connect the braided wire and the conductor to be connected.
