Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform stable magnetic recording and reproducing by inserting a tape cleaning member into one of a pair of apertures for tape traveling means where no tape is inserted. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 11 pulled out of a reel 2 is guided by a supply side pinch roller 6 and brought into contact with a felt member 23, where dust depositing on the magnetic tape 1 is wiped out with the felt.
