Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent transmission of external force to a liquid crystal display device(LCD) when the external force gives an effect on a chassis or press members by mounting the LCD in the chassis in a manner that the LCD provided with elastic members on its top and back surfaces is held with the inner wall of the chassis and press members. CONSTITUTION:An elastic member 24 is formed into a frame and disposed around the LCD 22 in a the display surface side 30 of the LCD 22. Another elastic member 25 is formed into a plate and is disposed on the back side 32 of the LCD 22. Therefore, even when external force is given to the chassis 21 or to a print circuit board 23, the external force is absorbed by the elastic members 24, 25 provided on both sides 30, 32 of the LCD 22. Thereby, external force does not reach to the LCD 22, which prevents stains on the display surface 30 of the LCD 22 or cracks in the LCD 22.

In addition, in order to solve the above problem, as shown in Fig. 4,
If the LCD 2 is directly sandwiched between the casing 1 and the printed wiring board 8, if the casing 1 is twisted or distorted due to external force, the distortion of the casing 1 will be directly transmitted to the LCD 2 and the LC will be damaged.
There were cases where the display surface of the D2 was blurred and the LCD2 was cracked. Furthermore, a similar problem may occur if the printed wiring board 8 is distorted due to vibrations or the like.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, in the conventional LCD mounting structure, when the LCD is mounted on the housing using a mounting frame, the mounting space for the LCD becomes large and the weight of the device increases. In addition, if the LCD is directly sandwiched between the casing and the printed wiring board, the distortion of the casing etc. will be directly transmitted to the LCD, causing the LCD display surface to bleed or crack in two. There was a problem that it occurred.
