Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the implementing of necessary treatments such as mixing treatment and concentrating treatment in full automation and also dispensing and constant temperature preservation as well by automatizing all processes such as annealing and stretching of DNA.
CONSTITUTION: A sample DNA, a fluorescent label primer and a buffer liquid are dispensed into 16 microtubes set (hereafter abbreviated as set) on an ice temperature rack 42, with a cap mounted, they are mixed to be separated 56 centrifugally with a vibrating agitation by means of a vortexer 43. After insulat ed with an incubator 53, the mixture undergoes a gradual cooling and a cooling with racks 45 and 42 to be annealed. The cap is removed (hereafter abbreviated as attaching or detaching the cap) and a substrate and an enzyme are dispensed, mixed and insulated in the same treatment to cause a stretching reaction with the DNA. The reaction is stopped and a sediment agent is dispensed and subjected to the vortexer 43 and the DNA is concentrated on the bottom of the tube by a fast centrifugal rotation 56. A sequence control with a controller 21 covers all processings containing the setting of the tube and attaching or detaching of the cap for such dispensing and mixing.
