Abstract

PURPOSE:To give priority to regular reception and recording by means of a recording paper by delaying the transmission timing of a response message as against an incoming call from a terminal while a paper lacks by means of prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:A paper lacking detection means 4 detecting that the reception recording paper comes to a paper lacking state, an incoming call detection means 3 detecting the incoming call from the line of an integrated digital service network (ISDN) 1 and a control means 7 delaying the transmission timing of the response message as against the incoming call by prescribed time when the incoming call is detected in the paper lacking state are provided. Consequently, a terminal where the paper is not rumming out is given the priority of the response to the incoming call compared to the terminal where the paper lacks. Thus, the generation frequency of memory substitution reception as against the incoming call from ISDN is considerably reduced and an original by the terminal where the paper is not lacked is preferentially received.

Detailed Description of the Invention (Objective of the Invention) (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a facsimile device that is operated by connecting to an integrated digital service network (hereinafter referred to as 15DN).
In particular, the present invention relates to improvements in a call response device provided within the facsimile machine.

(Prior Art) As is well known, in a public telephone network or a DDX network, only one facsimile machine is connected to one line, so the control of answering incoming calls can be handled as a problem for that facsimile machine alone.

For example, if a call arrives at a facsimile VC machine that is out of paper in the public telephone network or DDX network, there will be no operational problem even if the facsimile machine responds to the call through memory proxy reception or the like.

As is well known, L5DN allows up to eight terminals to be connected via bus to one line, and when a call is received while connected to the bus, the network will select the first one from among the multiple terminals that answered the call. The responses are accepted in order, and control is performed such that only one terminal is allowed to communicate.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, with the above-mentioned conventional l5DN compatible facsimile machines, as long as they have a memory proxy reception function, they can respond to incoming calls on a first-come, first-served basis regardless of whether there is a paper shortage or not. Despite the existence of terminals that can receive data using recording paper, there is a problem in that the chances of memory proxy reception are increasing, which is undesirable from an operational point of view.

(Function) In the facsimile apparatus of the present invention, for a terminal out of paper among the plurality of terminals connected to the l5DN via the bus,
When waiting for an incoming call, the timing of sending a response message to the caller is controlled to be delayed by a predetermined time compared to other terminals that are not out of paper.

As a result, terminals that are not out of paper have a higher priority for answering incoming calls than terminals that are out of paper, and as a result, terminals that are out of paper respond to incoming calls before other normal terminals. The frequency at which memory proxy reception is performed can be significantly reduced.

In this way, by making the sending of a response message from a terminal that is out of paper more efficient, the chances of incoming calls to other normal terminals during that time increase, and unnecessary activation of the memory proxy reception function can be avoided.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the facsimile apparatus of the present invention, when a call is received from an 15DN that accommodates a plurality of terminals via bus connection, the timing of sending a response message to the above call from a terminal that is out of paper. Since the reception is delayed by a predetermined period of time, the memory proxy reception function does not work unnecessarily, and there is an excellent advantage that efficient operation can be realized, giving priority to normal reception recording using recording paper.
