Abstract

PURPOSE:To legibly illuminate a display part without having irregularities by diffusing light beams from a light source by means of a sheet having a transparent glass and then, advancing them in a prescribed direction with a directional member. CONSTITUTION:The light beams of a lamp 7 are diffused by a sheet having the transparent glass 13, then, polarized by an LCF 12, and refracted downward by a light transmission member 6, to be projected toward the upper light. On the other hand, the light beams of a lamp 16 are diffused by a sheet having the transparent glass 21, and then, polarized by an LCF 20, and advance toward the upper right. The light beams polarized by the LCF 12 are refracted downward by the light transmission member 6. However, since the polarizing angle of the LCF 12 is made different from that of the LCF 20 a little, the light beams of the lamp 7 and the lamp 16 advance toward the same direction, that is, the eyes' position of an operator, as well. In other words, the light beams of the lamp 7 and 16 advance only toward the direction of the operator, so that display parts 11 and 19 can be legibly viewed and recognized from the direction where the eyes of the operator are positioned.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention allows light from an internal light source to pass through to illuminate a display portion formed by cutting out a coating film on the surface of a transparent member for display. In such a lighting display device, there is a directional member that projects light from the light source in the same direction, a half mirror layer with high light reflectance, and a half mirror layer that is placed on the back side of the directional member to diffuse the light from the light source. It is equipped with a transparent glass-filled sheet.

The light from the lamp 7 in this embodiment is transmitted to the transparent glass-containing sheet 1
After being diffused by the light beam 3, the light is polarized by the LCF 12, and refracted slightly downward by the light transmitting member 6, and then the light is projected in the upper right corner as shown in FIG. Further, the light from the lamp 16 is diffused by a transparent glass-containing sheet 21, and then polarized by the LCF 20 so as to travel toward the upper right.

Note that the light polarized by the LCF 12 is refracted slightly downward by the transparent member 6, but in this embodiment, the LCF
The polarization angle of No. 12 is made slightly similar to the polarization angle of t and cF20, so that the light from lamp 7 and the light from lamp 16 travel in the same direction, which is the position of the driver's eyes.

In addition, since the light from the lamps 7.16 is diffused by the transparent glass-containing sheet 13.21, the display is uneven (the lamps 7 and 16 are not directly visible. For example, compared to milky white film, the light attenuation rate is very small, so the lamp 7.16
In order to efficiently irradiate the light from the lamp 7,
I6 can be made small, and power consumption and heat generation can be suppressed.

FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the light-transmitting member 3
A half-mirror layer 31 is deposited on the back surface of 0.
The surface of the light-transmitting member 30 is directly coated with a film by vacuum deposition or the like, and this coating film 32 is cut with a laser to form a display section 33. An LCF 34 is disposed on the back surface of the light-transmitting member 30, and a transparent glass-containing sheet 35 is attached to the back surface of the LCF 34. In this embodiment, as in the first embodiment, light from a lamp (not shown) is diffused by a transparent glass-containing sheet 35, then polarized by an LCF 34 so that it travels only in a predetermined direction, and then passes through a half mirror layer 31. The light is slightly refracted by the light-transmitting member 30 and passes through the display section 33 in the upper right direction, that is, in the direction where the driver is located.

Note that since the back surface of the light-transmitting member 30 is mirror-deposited, the dark interior cannot be seen from the display section 33 during the daytime, and external light is reflected on the half mirror layer 31 and passes through the light-transmitting member 30 to the display section 33. Since the light is irradiated from above, the display section 33 appears silvery white, and the display can be clearly seen.

In addition, in each of the above-mentioned Examples, for the sake of explanation, the mirror layer, coating film, etc. are clearly shown with a considerable thickness.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the light from the light source is diffused by the sheet containing transparent glass and then travels in a predetermined direction by the directional member. The display area is illuminated evenly and clearly. Since the light from the light source becomes a substantially parallel beam using the directional member and travels in a fixed direction, it is not dispersed, there is no need to increase the amount of light from the light source more than necessary, and the light does not reflect on the window. It has the effect of avoiding glare, etc. Also, since it has a half-mirror layer with high reflectance, the interior cannot be seen during the day, and outside light is reflected on the half-mirror layer. Since it can be seen from the display section, it has the effect that the display can be clearly viewed.
