There is a vegetable compartment (not shown) in the lower part of the refrigerator compartment 3, and the air inside the refrigerator containing ethylene, which is generated in large quantities by fruits and vegetables stored in the vegetable compartment, is sucked into the cold air suction passage 1o by the blower 6 as shown by the arrow in the diagram. Opening 1 on the inlet side of the cold air suction passage 10
Diethylene is adsorbed and removed by the ethylene removing agent 11b of the freshness maintaining device 11 provided at 0a. The ethylene removing agent 11b usually becomes saturated in several months and loses its ability to remove ethylene. Furthermore, during humid seasons such as the rainy season, the diethylene removal ability decreases due to the adsorption of moisture by opening and closing the refrigerator door. Since the ethylene removing agent 11b also acts as a deodorizing agent, a decrease in the ethylene removing ability can be regarded as a decrease in the deodorizing ability. Therefore,
When an unpleasant odor is felt in the refrigerator due to a decrease in the deodorizing ability, the user of the refrigerator energizes the heating element 11a, which decomposes the ethylene adsorbed on the diethylene removal agent 11b and dries the moisture by heating. It is. Since the ethylene removing agent 11b can be arbitrarily regenerated by heating, it can maintain its ethylene removing ability for a long period of time, and the freshness of fruits and vegetables can be maintained for a long period of time. Further, unlike the conventional example, the cooling performance of the cooling heat exchanger 5 does not deteriorate.

13d and 13e are glass tubes and nichrome wires that constitute the defrosting heating element 13a, respectively. Ethylene removal agent 13
b is fibrous activated carbon, which is attached to the entire outer periphery of the defrosting heating element 13a with ring-shaped fasteners 15 at both ends. Next, the operation will be explained. Cold air containing ethylene generated from fruits and vegetables stored in the vegetable compartment (not shown) located at the lower part of the refrigerator compartment 3 is sucked into the cold air suction passage 1o by the blower 6 as shown by the arrow in the figure, and is fed into the cooling compartment 8. Diethylene is adsorbed and removed by the ethylene removing agent 13b of the freshness maintaining device 13 provided below. On the other hand, when a certain amount of frost forms on the cooling heat exchanger 5, the defrosting heating element 13a constituting the freshness maintaining device 13 is automatically energized for about 30 minutes to generate heat and defrost. . At this time, the ethylene adsorbed by the ethylene removing agent 13b is decomposed and the moisture is dried. Since the ethylene removing agent 13b is heated and regenerated every time it is defrosted, it can maintain its ethylene removing ability for a long period of time, and the freshness of fruits and vegetables can be maintained for a long period of time. Further, unlike in Example 1, by using the defrosting heating element 13a as the heating element for regenerating the ethylene removing agent 13b, a low-cost freshness maintaining device can be achieved since no extra heating element is used. Other effects are similar to those of the first embodiment.

The ethylene removing agent 13b may be a catalyst type removing agent in which palladium is adsorbed on fibrous activated carbon, or an addition reaction type preparation in which bromine is adsorbed on fibrous activated carbon. Moreover, the reason why the ethylene removing agent 13b is made of fibrous activated carbon instead of granular activated carbon is that the activated carbon is easy to mold into any shape;
This is because it is easy to attach to the heating element 11a or 13a.

FIG. 6 is a schematic sectional view showing another embodiment of the freshness maintaining device.
Components that are the same as those in the second embodiment are given the same numbers and their explanations will be omitted. No. 16 is obtained by coating the outer periphery of the ethylene removal heating element 13a and then heating and drying it by applying electricity to the heating element 13a. Therefore, a layer of ethylene removing agent 16 is formed on the surface of the heating element 13a without the need for special fittings,
It is possible to provide a freshness preservation device that can be easily heated and regenerated.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the refrigerator freshness preservation device of the present invention is a refrigerator freshness preservation device that is disposed in a cold air suction passage and comprises a heating element and an ethylene removing agent attached to the outer periphery of the heating element. Since the ethylene removing agent can be optionally regenerated by heating, the ethylene removing ability can be maintained for a long period of time, and the freshness of fruits and vegetables can be maintained for a long period of time. Further, since the ethylene removing agent is not attached to the surface of the fin material of the cooling heat exchanger, the cooling performance of the cooling heat exchanger is not reduced unlike the conventional example.
