Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the occurrence of paper jam, the presence or absence of photographic paper and the completion of the photographic paper setting with one detector by providing a rotator which rotates with the movement of the photographic paper and a rotation detecting means which detects the rotation of the rotator. CONSTITUTION:When there is no photographic paper 11, the photographic paper is not set or paper jam precludes the photographic paper 11 from being fed, a rotator 8 has no contact with the photographic paper 11 and no rotation. The non-rotation status of the rotator 8 is seized as an electric signal by a rotation detecting means 9 and formed into an abnormal signal in feeding the photographic paper to give corresponding information to an alarm circuit and a display circuit.

As shown in the figure, the lock is released and the paper is pulled out and pulled up slightly above the drive platen 31 manually (see Figure 6). 49 is a lock detection switch, which is attached to both ends. It is detected whether the platen presser support fitting 43 is completely locked at both ends. This is determined based on the signal state of the lock detection switch 49. However, in detecting the presence or absence of photographic paper, a light beam is emitted onto the printing surface of the photographic paper 36, so there is a risk that the photographic paper 36 will be exposed to light. In addition, if the photographic paper 36 is above the photographic paper presence/absence sensor 55 and is below the driving platen 31/driven platen 32 and is fully locked, check whether the photographic paper 36 has been set in advance. It was also impossible to detect. Additionally, sensors and switches are required for paper jam detection, photographic paper cent detection, and photographic paper presence/absence detection, which requires securing space and a mechanism for installation, making the structure of the main unit complicated. Not only that, but it also caused high costs, which was a very disadvantageous situation for miniaturization and weight reduction. Furthermore, since the resolution of these abnormalities in photographic paper involves similar processing, there is no need to display an error for each cause of the abnormality.

1 to 4 show an embodiment of the photographic paper state detection device of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing the paper feeding mechanism in a ready state for printing, and FIG. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which the knob is released, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the mechanism detecting section. The photographic paper 11 is pulled out of the paper supply box 1, passes through the guide rollers 3, and passes through the drive platen 5. The drive platen 5, the driven planar/4 and the photographic paper 1 are sandwiched between the driven planar 74 and the driven planar 74.
It moves in the direction of arrow 12 due to the frictional force of 1. The paper is then printed by laser light 13 and placed in the photographic paper storage box 2. The driven platen 4 is independently operable. When the opening/closing knob 15 is pulled forward, the freely rotatable roller 18 attached to the opening/closing knob 15 slides along the receiving part 17 of the platen holding fitting 14, and the opening/closing knob 15 is moved in the direction of the arrow 19.
It is possible to separate the driven platen 4 from the drive planar 15. The platen holding fitting 14 is pulled toward the driving platen 5 by a spring 16. The second state after the opening/closing knob is moved.
As shown in the figure. 6 and 7 are paper guides, and 8 is a rotating body that rotates with the movement of the photographic paper 11, and is attached to the mounting plate 10. A rotation detector 9 is a rotation detection means for detecting rotation. When the photographic paper 11 moves, the rotating body 8 rotates, and a change in the signal is detected by the rotation detector 9. As shown in FIG.
! t) is selected and the rotation data from the buffer 23 is read into the CPU 21 through the PIC 22 again. In this way, the state of the photographic paper is detected by the detection signal from the detector 9.

To set the photographic paper 11, open the opening/closing knob 15 to make it ready for printing (the state shown in Figure 2), manually pull out the photographic paper 11 from the photographic paper supply box 1, and connect the driving platen 5 and the driven platen 4.
and passes below the rotation detector 9. Photographic paper 1
1 passes through the rotating body 8, the rotating body 8 rotates. A rotation detector 9 detects this rotation and detects the presence of the photographic paper 11. Next, close the opening/closing knob 15 (the state shown in FIG. 1). The photographic paper setting is now complete. When the drive roller 5 is rotated in the above state, the photographic paper 11 is sent to the photographic paper storage box 2 by the spring force of the spring 16 and the friction between the photographic paper 11 and the driven platen 4. If there is no photographic paper 11, the rotating body 8 will not rotate and will be detected. If the photographic paper 11 is not locked, the driving platen 5 and the driven platen 4 are not in contact with each other, so that the photographic paper 11 is not fed and the rotating body 8 is not rotated, so that detection can be performed. Also, if the photographic paper is not fed accurately, an abnormality will occur in the input signal and can be detected.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the detection device of the present invention uses a rotating body that rotates as the photographic paper moves and a rotation detecting means that detects the rotation of the rotating body to detect occurrence of paper jam, presence or absence of photographic paper, etc.
Completion of setting of photographic paper can be detected with one detector, and therefore a small, lightweight, and inexpensive device capable of detecting the feeding state of photographic paper can be achieved.
