ためこれらの問題点を解決するため、従来にあつ
ては両側縁剪断機の直前の鋼帯にその両面から転
接する押えローラを配置し、該ローラによつて鋼
帯のそり、曲りを矯正し、また鋼帯を剪断機の刃
に対し、これと直角となるよう保持すると共に剪
断において生ずる振動を抑制する方法が採られて
いる。しかし、このような方法にあつては押えロ
ーラの軸長を鋼帯の幅寸法に対し、所定の割合に
なるよう設定する必要上種々の幅寸法をもつ鋼帯
に対して軸長寸法の異なる各種の押えローラを用
意する必要がある等の不都合があつた。

力が加えられるため軽度の剪断力で剪断が行なわ
れるので回転丸刃の寿命延長及び剪断効率が向上
するなどの効果を有する。
