Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the position adjustment of a platen roller by arranging a close contact image sensor and a thermal head to a side opposite to each other with respect to a case respectively and pressing the platen roller for the close contact image sensor to a couple of arms provided to the case with a spring. CONSTITUTION:A platen roller 19 for pressing a close contact image sensor is arranged in a direction of the arrow C via an arm 17 at both ends with a spring 21 provided to a fulcrum 18 of a case 1a. Thus, an original 2 is inserted between the platen roller 19 and a glass plate 14 of a close contact image sensor section 100 and supplied in the direction of the arrow A, characters on the original are scanned optically and converted into electric signals. Moreover, a thermal head section 200 is arranged to a rear part opposite to a signal read face of the close contact image sensor section and pressed to the case 1a in the direction of the arrow D with the plate spring 6 and a platen roller 4 for pressing the thermal head.

Next, the operation will be explained. The original (2) is held between the platen roller (32) by the pressing force of the contact image sensor (31) and the spring (34). A pulse motor (not shown) or the like generates power for the ridge section that can be sent in the direction of the arrow (■), and the characters on the manuscript are read continuously. In addition, the thermal recording paper (3) is usually in the form of a roll, and the thermal head (33)

In Fig. 2, the contact image sensor pressing platen roller (19) is pressed in the direction of the arrow ◎ by the spring (21) provided at the fulcrum (18) of the housing (la) via the arms (17) at both ends. There is a device that allows you to do so. Therefore, the document (2) is placed in close contact with the platen roller (19) and the image sensor section (1).
It is held between glasses (14) of 00) and drawn out in the direction of the arrow (2) by a drive source (not shown), and the characters on the document are optically scanned and converted into electrical signals. Also, the thermal head part (
200) is arranged in the opposite direction (back side) to the document reading surface of the contact image sensor section, and has a plate spring (6) attached to the housing (la).
), the thermal head pressing platen roller (4) is pressed in the direction of the arrow ■, and the thermal recording paper (3) is fed out in the direction of the arrow ■ by a drive source (not shown), and the heating element is activated by an electronic signal from the transmitting side. The thermosensitive recording paper (3) is colored and a recorded image is obtained.

As described above, according to the present invention, the contact image sensor and the thermal head are arranged on opposite sides of the housing, and the platen roller for the contact image sensor is pressed by a pair of arms and a spring provided on the housing. Since the casing is pressed against the platen roller for the thermal head by a spring installed outside the casing, the device can be made smaller and the position of the platen roller can be easily adjusted, resulting in high-quality facsimiles. There is.
