Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain memory reception even when a memory is fully occupied and to prevent an accidental erasure by providing a buffer to a pre-stage of the memory with FIFO function and recording a signal onto a cleared original simultaneously at the memory reception. CONSTITUTION:A FIFO (first-in first-out) function is provided to a memory 22 to the pre-stage of which a buffer 21 is arranged. After the memory 22 is fully occupied, the FIFO function is used and old data are cleared by one line each and new data stored in the buffer 21 are stored by one line each to an area being idle through clearing of one line each. The data is sent to a recording section 13 via a compression / decoding section 14. Then old data is replaced with the new data in the memory 22 repetitively. Thus, the equipment copes with an external command by the operator visiting to a location and the data of the original is not deleted when the data is recorded in advance at the reception.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Summary] An object of the present invention is to provide a facsimile device having a memory reception function, which can continue to have the memory reception function even when the memory is full, and to store received data. In a facsimile machine having a memory transfer function of recording and storing the contents of the memory in one memory and transferring the memory contents according to an external instruction, the memory is provided with a FIFO (fast-in/fast-out) function, and the memory is A buffer is provided at the front stage, and even when the memory is full, the control is performed so that the old data in the memory is cleared and replaced one section at a time of the document data held in the buffer.

Recently, facsimile transfer is one of the communication methods using facsimile memory. This facsimile transfer is a function that stores received originals in a memory even when the user is out of the house, and then transfers the received originals based on an instruction from an external source. This memory reception can be performed multiple times until the memory is full.

Although this facsimile machine was not capable of receiving regular calls, by storing the received manuscript in memory and simultaneously recording and outputting it, the operator who remained behind was able to receive normal calls using this facsimile.

FIG. 4 shows an example of a conventional facsimile machine of this type. In the same figure, under the control of a main control unit (CPU) 10, there is an operation control unit 11 provided with a panel 11-1 and a display 11-2, and predetermined functions are set and transmitted using a numeric keypad or one-touch key. Once the called party's number is dialed, the call is connected, and the called party has auto-receive capabilities, the pre-procedure begins.

On the other hand, the reading section 12 reads the original data by optical scanning, sends it to the compression/decompression section 14, and encodes and compresses it using, for example, the MH (Modified Huffman) method.

Conversely, the carrier wave received from the line is demodulated by the line control section 17 and the modem 16, and either stored in the memory 15 or directly output as a printout to the recording section 15.

When the facsimile transfer method described above is applied to the conventional example, when an absent operator sets facsimile transfer, it is possible to transfer to a designated destination from outside the machine without memory reception.

In the above conventional example, since the storage capacity of the memory 15 is limited, the original data stored in the memory 15 can be efficiently transferred and cleared to the operator who is out of the office, or transferred as unnecessary original data. Unless the memory is cleared without being cleared, the memory becomes full as the memory reception is repeated, and the problem arises that the received original cannot be stored in the memory and the original that is instructed from outside cannot be transferred.

In order to achieve the above objective, as shown in the principle explanatory diagram of FIG. In the facsimile machine, the memory 22 is provided with a FIFO (fast-in, fast-out) function, and a buffer 21 is provided at the front stage of the memory, so that even when the memory 22 is full, the original data held in the buffer 21 is saved. The configuration is such that the old data in the memory is cleared and replaced one by one in the memory.

The memory 15 is provided with a FIFO function, so that even when the memory is full, old data is cleared line by line and moved from the buffer 21 to the vacant area, and this is sent to the compression/decompression unit 14 and the recording unit 16. Repeat to replace old data in memory. This old data is recorded in the memory when it is received, so there is no need to worry about it being lost.

In the figure, the difference from the configuration of the conventional example shown in FIG. 4 is that a memory 22 with a buffer 21 arranged at the front stage has a FIFO function. That is, with this configuration, the same operation as the conventional example is performed until the memory 22 becomes full, but after it becomes full, the 1110 function is activated, old data is cleared for one line, and the empty area is used. buffer 2

Press this! /Sent to the recording unit 16 via the restoring unit 14. This is repeated to replace the old data and new data in the memory 22. With this, it is possible to respond to external instructions from an operator who is out of the house, and if the reception is recorded in advance, the original data can be prevented from being lost.

Next, check whether there is a certain amount of storage capacity in the memory 22, and if there is, use that free space; if not, clear the oldest file data to create a free space, and receive one line (outside) of the buffer 21. The data is stored in the memory 22 and the contents of the buffer 21 are left unchanged. The compression/decompression section 14 decompresses one line (%) of data in the buffer 21, and the recording section 16 records and outputs the one line (n).

As explained above, according to the present invention, the configuration in which the buffer is provided before the memory having the 1110 function allows
Memory reception is possible even when the memory is full, and for documents that have been cleared using the FIFO method,
By enabling recording and outputting when the memory is open for reception, it is possible to prevent recording from being erased, which greatly contributes to improving the functionality of facsimile transmission.
