One type of foreign matter removing device is one in which a foreign matter removing means using a mesh or lattice screen is disposed in the drainage flow path, and the foreign matter is caught on the screen. However, in such a foreign matter removing device, since foreign matter is not removed from the screen, the screen becomes clogged in a short period of time. When the screen becomes clogged in this way, the screen must be replaced or cleaned each time, and the drainage must be temporarily stopped at that time. In addition, this conventional foreign matter removal device
The flow rate of wastewater from which foreign matter has been removed varies depending on the amount of foreign matter clogged in the screen.

In yet another type of foreign matter removal device, a plurality of brushes are rotated and moved along a closed loop, foreign matter is received by the brushes during the movement of the brushes, and foreign matter received by the brushes is removed from the brushes. Some items are removed by another brush that is rotated in the opposite direction to the brush during movement (Special Publication No. 53)
-4262). However, with this foreign matter removal device,
Many foreign objects are not removed from one brush movable along the closed loop to another, and therefore the brushes movable along the closed loop become clogged in a short period of time.
Further, in this foreign matter removing device, since foreign matter on other brushes is not removed, the other brushes become clogged in a short period of time.
