Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely print out a received document data even when paper sheets of a paper feeding section run short by storing recording paper in an intermediate tray. CONSTITUTION:An MPU 1 uses a sensor 18 so as to check whether or not recording paper is in existence in an intermediate tray 14 and when no paper is stacked therein, a switch 16 is thrown to the position of a paper discharge section and a switch 17 is thrown to the position of the intermediate tray 14 to carry recording paper of a paper feeding section 12 to the intermediate tray 14. When paper is stacked in the paper feeding section 12 upon the receipt of a reception data, the switch 16 is thrown to the paper feeding section 12 and the switch 17 is thrown to the paper ejecting section 13, and when no paper is stacked in the paper feeding section 12, the switch 16 is thrown to the intermediate tray 14 and the switch 17 is thrown to the paper ejecting section 13 to ensure a document output after paper runs short and to interrupt succeeding communication. Thus, the succeeding document is stored with unreception and the loss of the reception data is avoided.
