Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly detect the clogging of a filter by informing a fact of abnormality by an informing means, when a temperature excessive rise preventing means is operated plural times in the course of operation. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 15 monitors a machine temperature by a thermostat 8, and if normal (turn-on state), a drying operation is executed continuously. In this case, when the machine temperature rises abnormally, and the thermostat 8 becomes a turn-off state, an air blasting operation is executed for 30 seconds. By this air blasting operation, only the motor 2 is energized and a fan 3 and a drum 4 are driven, air is allowed to circulate in the machine and the inside of the machine is cooled. Subsequently, the energizing of the motor 2 is also stopped for five seconds, the fan 3 and the drum 4 are stopped, and also, by executing the air blasting operation again for one minute and 30 seconds, the temperature of an object to be dried is lowered enough. Next, unless the thermostat 8 is reset, it is judged to be an abnormal temperature rise in the machine generated by other cause than clogging of a filter 10, and an informing means 14 is operated.

Example Hereinafter, one example of the present invention will be explained.
I will refer to and explain. FIG. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view of a clothes dryer according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which a motor 2 serving as a driving source is provided at the bottom of the main body 1, and a fan is provided on the back side of the main body 1 together with the motor 2. Belts 5 and 6 are stretched between the fan 3 and a rotary drum 4 provided in front of the fan 3, respectively, so that the fan 3 and the rotary drum 4 are rotated by the drive of the motor 2. Further, a heater 7 serving as a heat source is disposed on the front example 1 of the main body 1, and hot air heated through the heater γ by the rotation of the fan 3 is introduced into the rotating drum 4 and is housed in the rotating drum 4. The item to be dried (clothing) is heated and dried. Note that arrow A in the figure indicates the flow of wind. Further, 8 is a thermostat which is a means for preventing excessive temperature rise and is turned off when an abnormal temperature t in the cabin is detected. Reference numeral 9 is an electrode, which is brought into contact with the material to be dried in the rotating drum 4 during operation. Reference numeral 10 denotes a buoy letter for collecting the textile debris in the exhaust gas. When the filter 10 becomes clogged due to accumulation of textile debris, the door 11 is opened and the filter 10 is removed from the drum 4 to remove the textile debris. The structure is such that it can be attached to the drum 4 again after being removed. The abnormal temperature rise inside the machine detected by the thermostat 8 is mainly caused by the decrease in the amount of air circulating inside the machine due to the aforementioned clogging of the filter 1o. Therefore, by removing the scum from the filter 1o, the abnormal temperature rise inside the aircraft can be eliminated.

The operation of the clothes dryer control device having the above configuration will be explained below with reference to the flowchart shown in FIG. The microcomputer 15 sets the initial value of the variable N to 0 in step 100, monitors the temperature inside the machine using the thermostat 8 in step 101, and continues drying operation if the temperature is normal (on state). When the temperature inside the machine rises abnormally, that is, when the thermostat 8 turns off, only the stem is energized and the fan 3 and drum 4 are driven to circulate air within the machine, thereby cooling the machine interior.
