Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of wrinkles or a curl when decorative paper is bonded to the surface of a base plate using a water-soluble adhesive and to develop good adhesion by mixing a filler and a synthetic resin emulsion with the decorative paper to be bonded to the surface of a base plate in specific quantities at the time of papermaking. CONSTITUTION:Decorative paper is placed on a base plate coated with an adhesive and pressed thereto under heating. The decorative paper is prepared from a paper stock mixed with about 10% or less of a filler and about 0.3-10% of a synthetic resin emulsion such as an acrylic resin emulsion at the time of papermaking. As the filler, there are kaoline, talc, calcium carbonate, titanium oxide or the like. The acrylic resin emulsion has good weatherability and can especially withstand high temp. at the time of the bonding of the decorative paper to the base plate. The decorative paper is placed on the base plate to be pressed and bonded thereto under pressure of 10-30kg/cm<2> at about 150-210 deg.C. By this method, the generation of wrinkles or a curl at the time of the bonding of the decorative paper through a water-soluble adhesive is prevented and adhesion inferiority is eliminated.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] However, although it is possible to improve the hiding power of decorative paper and to suppress water absorption to some extent, the filler exists between the fibers that form the decorative paper and pushes the fibers apart. In addition, due to its high specific gravity, it is difficult to mix it uniformly with the paper stock during paper making, resulting in the problem of weakening the strength of the decorative paper.

For polishing, a drum sander, belt sander, or the like is used, and abrasive paper having a particle size in the range of #100 to #240 is used. For example, in a belt sander with 2 or 3 cylinders, the grain size is made finer from the inlet to the outlet, or abrasive paper of the same grain size is used.

Synthetic resin emulsions include acrylic emulsions, but acrylic emulsions have good weather resistance.
This is especially advantageous because it can withstand high heat during adhesion to a substrate.

”, and is pressed and pasted at a temperature in the range of 150 to 210 degrees Celsius.Detailed conditions are set according to the adhesive used and the type of decorative sheet. In addition, when pasting decorative sheets on the front and back surfaces of the board. The above steps are carried out at the same time.If carried out at the same time, the work steps are shorter and labor-saving, and in this case, the substrate coated with adhesive is rolled using a roller with an extremely small surface area at the tip, such as a fin roller. By transporting the decorative sheet, it is possible to prevent roller marks from appearing on the surface of the decorative sheet after application.

Furthermore, as the decorative paper to be attached to the surface of the substrate, it is recommended to use a decorative paper in which less than 10% of filler is mixed into the paper material during papermaking, and 0.3 to 10% of synthetic resin emulsion is mixed in. This is to prevent wrinkles and curls that occur when decorative paper is attached via a water-soluble adhesive, and to prevent poor adhesion. In other words, by mixing 0.3 to 10% of a synthetic resin emulsion, the swelling of the decorative paper due to moisture absorption, which occurs when the filler content is 10% or less, is suppressed, and the paper strength is improved, and the fibers of the decorative paper are It allows adhesive molecules to seep into it.

Since the filler is less than 10% and synthetic resin emulsion is mixed in at 0.3 to 10% during papermaking, wrinkles and curls can be prevented even when attached to the substrate surface using a water-soluble adhesive. This prevents this from occurring, improves the strength of the decorative paper, and allows the adhesive molecules to permeate into the decorative paper, making it possible to exhibit good adhesive strength.
