Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of picture quality caused by scattering of a toner image by grouping the heights of plural sheet-guide-ribs provided in parallel to a sheet carrying path on a sheet guide at every several steps in such a manner that they are gradually lowered from sheet carrying rollers. CONSTITUTION:After being peeled from a photosensitive drum 8, a sheet 7 is carried to a fixing part 12 via the separation roller 10 and the pressure roller 11 along the sheet guide 1, while holding the end of the sheet 7 between the separation roller 3 and the pressure roller 4. The rib 2a placed just behind the separation roller 3 is formed in such a manner that the height of a pressure- contact part between the separation roller 3 and the pressure roller 4 which constitute one of the pairs of sheet carrying rollers, is the same as that of another pressure-contact part between the separation roller 10 and the pressure roller 11, and that the height of the rib 2b is slightly lower than that of the rib 2a, and the heights of the ribs 2c, 2d, 2e... are gradually decreased in this order. Consequently, the sheet comes smoothly into contact with the surface of each rib and, thus, scattering of a toner image can be restrained.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to an electrophotographic recording device, and in particular, the present invention relates to an electrophotographic recording device, and in particular, the contact between the paper conveyance path and the paper from the transfer process of transferring a toner image formed by a photoreceptor to the fixing process. To reduce the area and avoid scattering of toner images in an electrophotographic recording device.

Conventionally, in this type of electrophotographic recording device, the contact area with the paper has been reduced as much as possible in the paper transport path from the transfer process to the fixing process in order to stabilize paper transport and prevent unfixed toner images from appearing. For this purpose, a resin paper guide is generally used in which a plurality of ribs are integrally formed parallel to the paper transport direction and at approximately equal intervals.

The conventional paper guide described above is provided at a position parallel to the separation roller that transports the unfixed paper after transfer to the fixing process. The unfixed paper is then conveyed to the fixing process by being held by a separation roller outside the printing area at one end and in contact with the ribs of the paper guide. If the position is high, the incoming paper will come into strong contact with the rib surface and the unfixed toner image will scatter, so it is necessary to make the paper conveyance surface of the separation roller higher than the paper guide sliding surface. However, in the past, the many ribs used in this paper guide were all set at a uniform height, although they were set lower than the separation roller position. This has the disadvantage that it is easy to bend at this point, which tends to cause toner scattering.

The electrophotographic recording device of the present invention has a paper guide that transfers an electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive drum onto a storage paper and guides the paper along a recording paper transport path from a transfer section to a fixing section. In an electrophotographic recording device, a plurality of paper guide ribs are provided on the paper guide parallel to the paper transport path, and the height of the ribs is divided into several stages, and the ribs are gradually lowered by a predetermined number from the end of the paper transport roller. be done.

In FIG. 3, 8 is a photosensitive drum, and 9 is a transfer charger. The electrostatic latent image formed by the photosensitive tram 8 is transferred to a transfer charger 9
The toner image is transferred onto the paper 7 that has entered the paper 7, thereby forming a toner image on the paper 7. Further, the paper 7 is separated from the photosensitive drum 8 and the end portion outside the printing area is held between the separation roller 3 and the pressure roller 4, and is moved along the paper guide 1 to the separation roller 10, which is the second roller. Pressure roller 11
The image is conveyed to the fixing section 12 through the.

However, after the transfer, the paper 7 is in a state where the toner image is only held by electrostatic force until the fixing by the fixing unit 12 is completed, so the contact area and contact surface pressure with the paper guide 1 are small. It needs to be made as small as possible. For this reason, many ribs 2a to 2x are provided on the paper guide 1, as shown in FIG. Furthermore, in order to minimize scattering of toner images due to contact with the paper 7, the ribs 2a to 2X need to be formed at positions lower than the pressure contact portions of the separation roller 3, pressure roller 4, and pressure roller 6. . However, in this case, the paper 7 is bent on the side closer to the separation roller 3, and as a result, the toner is likely to scatter at this portion, resulting in a decrease in image quality.

Therefore, in the present invention, as shown in FIG.
The rib 2a immediately behind is formed at the same height as the pressure contact portion between the separation roller 3 and the pressure roller 4 and the pressure contact portion between the separation roller 10 and the pressure roller 11, which form one side of the paper transport roller, and then The rib 2b is formed to be slightly lower than the rib 2a, and then the rib 2c, the rib 2d, and the rib 2e are formed to be lower in this order, and the height from the rib 2e to the rib 2X is the same. The appropriate value for setting the rib height differs depending on the paper type, paper thickness, and various conditions of the paper used, so it is necessary to determine the optimal setting for each electrophotographic recording device through testing. As shown in Figure 1, the paper 7 is brought into gentle contact with each rib surface.
Scattering of the toner image (latent image) can be suppressed.

As explained above, in the present invention, by changing the height of the rib surface of the paper guide in several stages, it is possible to avoid extreme bending of the paper and strong contact with a certain part of the ribs. This has the effect of preventing deterioration in image quality due to toner image scattering.
