Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a roof of minimum necessary size, simple and easy to maintain by adjacently fixing a plurality of small-sized roofs to an escalator handrail part. CONSTITUTION:A transparent plastic plate is formed into a doom, and a frame is mounted on the circumference to form a small-sized roof 1. A plurality of such small-sized roofs 1 are provided adjacent to each other on a support metal fitting 3 provided on the side surface of a truss 2 through a rubber packing to form a roof covering the whole escalator. A roof joint 4 is attached between the small-sized roofs 1. Further, a floodlight base 6 is provided on a decorative panel 5 of an escalator body, and a flood light 7 is installed thereto to illuminate the escalator from the outside. Thus, the assembling can be performed from the escalator, and the extension to the existing escalator is also facilitated.

(従来の技術) 最近は屋外形のエスカレータが設置される事が多い。(Conventional technology) Recently, outdoor escalators are often installed.

They can be used in a variety of ways, such as connecting buildings, going from a sidewalk to an upper or underground station, or as part of a pedestrian bridge. Most of these escalators are roofless due to environmental conditions and installation costs, and rely on the escalator's own waterproof and dustproof measures for protection against wind, rain, and dust.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, from the viewpoint of maintenance and management and the lifespan of the escalator, it is better to have a roof, and especially from the users' standpoint, it is truly desirable to have a roof when the weather is bad.

The escalator itself has traditionally been built with pillars and a glass roof attached to it, or the roof protrudes from the building.
It's not something that can be done just because it's cheap.

As mentioned above, with a roof, there are problems with the dimensional margin around the escalator and the installation cost.

In addition, the material for the roof can of course be glass board, but transparent plastic board is cheaper and can be replaced immediately if it becomes dirty or damaged, and it is easy to change the landscape by making it not only transparent but also colored. There are advantages that can be achieved.

The reason for providing the above-mentioned gap is to vent wind and ease of assembly. By doing so, there is no need to require much strength for the small roof or dimensional accuracy of the dome shape, so the plastic Boards can be used, which is advantageous in terms of installation costs and maintenance.
