Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of harmful noise when a ringer signal is sent to a telephone set by generating a ringer signal with a delay of a 1st prescribed delay time and stopping the generation of the ringer signal before a 2nd prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:When a ringer signal is sent to a telephone set 12 connecting to a PBX, a microprocessor 40 sends a ringing interval setting signal to a switching drive element 32 to drive a switching element 31 thereby allowing the telephone set 12 to be connected selectively to a ringer signal generating section 20 for one second and to a speech circuit 16 for two seconds repetitively. A ringer signal is started to be generated with a prescribed time t<1> of delay just after the telephone set 12 is selected from the speech circuit 16 to the ringer signal generating section 20 and the ringer signal is stopped to be generated with a prescribed time t<2> of advance just before the telephone set 12 is selected from the ringer signal generating section 20 to the speech circuit 16.

2. Description of the Related Art An example of a conventional ringer signal sending method in this type of PBX will be described below with reference to the chart of FIG. 3 showing the signal generation state when this method is adopted. That is, conventionally, in order to send a ringer signal to a telephone, a ringer signal generating means continuously generates a ringer signal (see Figure 3), and the telephone is connected to a communication circuit and this ringer signal generating means. By periodically and repeatedly switching between 1 second and 1 second when the telephone is connected to the ringer signal generating means side (see chart tal'), 1 second when the ringer is ringing when the telephone is connected to the ringer signal generating means side, and a non-ringing time when the telephone is connected to the talking circuit side. The time was 2 seconds, and the repetition was being performed.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in conventional PBXs of this type, when the telephone is switched from the talking circuit side to the ringer signal generating means side, or vice versa, due to the high voltage generated by the ringer signal generating means. There has been a problem in that harmful noise such as spike 9 noise is likely to occur in the switching section, and the noise often induces malfunctions in other functions of the PBX.

As already mentioned, in the conventional ringer signal sending method, the on/off operation of the switching element 24 of the ringer signal generating section 20 is performed continuously regardless of the connection switching operation of the switching circuit 30. When the switching element 31 of the switching circuit 30 switches the telephone 12 from the ringer signal generating section 20 side to the talking circuit 16 side or vice versa, harmful noise such as spike noise is generated in the switching element 31, There was a risk that the noise would have an adverse effect on the microprocessor 40 and the communication circuit 16.

Therefore, in the method of the present invention, the ringing signal is generated in synchronization with the switching operation of the switching circuit 30. That is, immediately after switching the telephone 12 from the ringer signal generator 20 side to the ringer signal generator 20 side, generation of the ringer signal is started after a first predetermined time t1 delay, and the telephone 12 is switched from the ringer signal generator 20 side to the ringer signal generator 20 side. Immediately before switching to the 16 side, generation of the ringer signal is stopped a second predetermined time t2 in advance.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the description of the embodiments above, the present invention has the following features: Immediately after switching the telephone from the communication circuit side to the ringer signal generating means side, the generation of the ringer signal is started with a first predetermined time delay; Since the generation of the ringer signal is stopped for a second predetermined period of time immediately before the telephone is switched from the ringer signal generating means side to the communication circuit side, in order to send the ringer signal to the telephone, the telephone is connected to the communication circuit. This prevents the generation of harmful noise when switching to and from the signal generation means, and therefore there is no risk of malfunctions in the components such as the microprocessor that make up the exchange, as well as the communication circuits, which improves the operational reliability of the exchange. has been improved. Furthermore, the lifespan of the phone is also extended since harmful noise does not adversely affect the phone.
