Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit an effective protection of the edges of a thin metal plate and combine the advantages of plastic and metallic caps by a method wherein the diameter of the thin metal plate of an inner lid is made larger than the inside diameter of a container opening part and smaller than the outside diameter thereof and the edges of the thin metal plate are covered with the liner material applied to its inner surface integrally therewith. CONSTITUTION:An inner lid 20 consists of a thin metal plate 21 such as tinplate and chromic acid treated steel plate and a liner 22 for retaining the sealability of a container lid. The diameter of the thin metal plate 21 is made larger than the inside diameter of a container opening part to be covered therewith to maintain its sealability. The liner 22 is made thin at the central part 22a of the inner lid and thick around the outer peripheral part 22b thereof so as to maintain the sealability between the liner and the mating container opening part. The outer peripheral part 22b of the liner is provided with a locking projection 23 for engaging the inner and outer lids and a covering part 24 for preventing the cut edge faces of the thin metal plate from exposure, both being formed integrally. The inner lid is supported within the outer lid 1 by a retaining projection 7 therein and the central opening part 2 of the outer lid 1 is completely closed.

(Prior Art) Composite container lids consisting of a combination of an outer lid and an inner lid have been known (for example, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-20523 and Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 61-259960). Since the outer cover is made of synthetic resin and the inner cover is made of metal, it has both the advantages of a metal cap and the advantages of a plastic cap.

Further, when the inner cover is formed from a thin tin plate or a thin steel plate treated with chromic acid, there is a risk that the anti-corrosion coating will be damaged at the cut edge of the inner cover, and therefore rust will develop from the edge of the inner cover. In such a case, when the package is opened, the occurrence of rust can be easily detected, causing discomfort to the consumer.

As a method for treating the cut edge of the inner lid, it has been adopted to curl the edge of the inner lid outward to protect the edge and solve the above problem (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 1986-1999). 45264).

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, with the inner lid made of the metal material mentioned above and having curled edges, the size of the inner lid becomes larger due to the curled portion, and therefore, the container opening needs to be stepped. In addition, when considering the ease of setting, a problem arises in that the outer diameter of the cap and the wall thickness of the bottle must be increased.

Since the thin metal plate is formed by press-forming a metal plate such as tinplate, chromic acid-treated steel plate, or aluminum thin plate, its edges are sharp and the untreated portion is exposed. By integrally covering the sharp edges of this thin metal plate at the same time as forming the liner, it is possible to form an inner lid with protected metal edges without the need for special processing of the thin metal plate. be. Therefore, since this inner lid can maintain a flat shape, the outer diameter of the outer lid and the shape of the bottle mouth are not affected, and if the metal plate is larger than the inner diameter of the container mouth, the inner lid will Since the sealing performance is maintained, the amount of metal plates used can be reduced compared to conventional ones, which is also economically advantageous.

The top surface of the inner lid shown in Figure 1-B has a linear shape, but when filling the contents in a heated state, the inner lid shown in Figure 1-C
If the curved shape shown in the figure is adopted, the center of the top wall of the top cover will have a concave shape that is concave downward due to the reduced pressure before opening, but will become a convex shape that bulges upward when the package is opened. Because it deforms, it is possible to visually recognize that the container lid is well sealed, and it is also possible to hear the sound of the metal inner lid due to the sudden change in internal pressure when opening the container.
It becomes possible to auditorily recognize that the container lid is well sealed.

FIG. 2 shows a composite container lid of the present invention, which is a combination of the above-mentioned outer lid 1 and inner lid 20. In this composite container lid, the inner lid is supported by the holding protrusion 7 in the outer lid within the outer construction, and the central opening 2 of the outer lid l is completely closed, thereby forming the container. In addition to maintaining the sealing performance of the container, as mentioned above, it is also possible to recognize that the container lid has been well sealed by the shape change and sound of the metal inner lid due to the change in internal pressure when the container is opened. .

The composite container lid of the present invention is not limited to combination with the above-mentioned type of outer lid, but can also be combined with plastic outer lids of other shapes. For example, as shown in FIG. 3-A, there is an outer lid main body 31 that is fixed to the container mouth and has an opening for discharging contents, and an outer lid main body 31 that is connected to the outer lid main body 31 by a hinge or the like and is held pivotably. The container lid 30 consists of a top lid 32 and a top lid 32.
The inner lid described above can also be used. Before opening, the inner lid 33 is used as the above-mentioned composite container lid as the inner lid of the outer lid main body, and is sealed with the container opening 34 via the liner material to maintain its sealing performance. The composite container lid, in which the inner lid is held on the inner surface of the outer lid main body 31, is fitted into the container opening, and the pouring opening of the outer lid main body 31 is sealed by the inner lid 33.
Further, the top surface (pour opening) sealed by the inner lid is covered by the upper lid 32.

To open the container lid, first remove the outer lid main body 31 from the container mouth 34, and then remove the inner lid 3 fitted to the inner surface of the outer lid main body.
The inner lid is removed from the outer lid main body 31 by pushing from the top surface (pour opening) of 3. The inner cover 33 that has been removed from the outer cover main body 31 can be fitted onto the top inner surface side 35 of the upper cover 32, and can be opened by fitting the engagement protrusion 23 to the holding protrusion 7 inside the upper cover. It becomes possible to maintain sealing performance even after plugging (Fig. 3-B). By fitting the container lid 30 into the container opening 34 again, the contents can be poured out.

As mentioned above, since the inner lid is made of a thin metal plate and a liner material, it is easier to open than when a conventional aluminum foil laminate is glued to the container mouth. By fitting the inner cover 33 to the inner top surface 35 of the upper cover 32, it is possible to maintain the sealing performance even after the bottle is opened, and even in this case, the above-mentioned combination of the outer cover and the inner cover does not separate. It is possible to obtain the same effect as a container lid.
