Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an unit house transportable in folded shape and to make work in construction site easy by a method wherein the unit house is formed of a pair of roof panels overlapped with each other on a box-shaped body, and triangular truss members fixed with hinges to the upper edges of the opposite gable ends of the box-shaped body. CONSTITUTION:A pair of roof panels 2, 3 for forming of a gable roof are laid on a box-shaped body 1 forming a residential part of a unit house being overlapped with each other. Triangular truss members 4 are fixed with a plurality of hinges to the upper edges of gable ends 1a of the unit house so that the truss members are hung down and are capable of turning upward for erection, and thereby a unit house equipped with members for forming of gables is formed. When carried into a construction site, tops of the roof panels 2, 3 are hoisted with a crane in the direction indicated by an arrow, and eaves sections are formed with each of the roof panels thrust out toward the right and the left. The truss members 4 on the gable ends 1a are turned upward and erected upright, and are fitted into the underside of the opposite roof ends so that a gable roof is formed. Thereby man-hours in the construction site and costs for construction can be reduced greatly.

However, this type of roof not only has problems such as difficulty in shutting out rain and poor insulation compared to sloped roofs, but also tends to have a monotonous exterior design. In order to make a house have a gable roof, various construction methods such as gables were used.

Various proposals have been made in the Publication No. 56819 and others. Here, we will omit the repeated explanations of each of the above cited examples, or
In the quotation example ■ and the fourth quotation example ■, both have complicated configurations and are expensive, and in the second quotation example ■, the tip of the eaves is designed to correspond to the recent trend toward coolness and luxury. The problem is that setting up the fascia or installing the rain gutters requires completely separate man-hours. In addition, in the third cited example (■), problems remained in both cases, such as whether the roof panels needed to be transported separately as in the first example (■).
