Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically detect whether or not refuse is discharged out as well as to prevent a detector from being damaged and stained by providing a detecting plate which is rocked as a housing box is tilted, for a refuse housing box, and thereby preventing the detector from being blocked by refuse by means of the detecting plate. CONSTITUTION:A detecting plate 13 which is rocked toward a rear opening section 5 when a housing box is tilted, is provided for the forward inner surface 2a of the housing box 2. The detecting plate 13 is formed in such a way that the upper section of its metallic plate member is rotatably connected to the forward inner surface 2a by a hinge 14. This thereby permits the detecting plate to be rocked while its lower end is separated from the forward inner surface 2a when the housing box 2 is tilted, and also permits the plate to abut against the forward inner surface 2a so as to block a hole 15 formed in the forward inner surface 2a when the housing box 2 is in a normal position. In addition, the hole 15 blocked by the detecting plate 13 is provided with a detector 17 at the forward section of the housing box 2 to detect the rocking motion of the detecting plate 13.
