Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce material cost and to enhance productivity by providing a magnetic recording layer to one entire surface of a substrate composed of a polyvinyl chloride sheet and providing a concealing layer for concealing the color of the magnetic recording layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic card 10 is formed by heating, bonding and fusing polyvinyl chloride sheet substrates 11, 12, 14 under pressure by hot pressing or can be formed by laminating said substrates by an adhesive. A magnetic recording layer 21, a silver layer 22 and a white layer 23 are successively laminated to one entire surface of a substrate 11. The silver layer 22 and the white layer 23 conceals the color of the magnetic recording layer 21 and, further, a character or design 31 and the protective layer 13 thereof are successively printed on the white layer 23 by various printing means. A character or design 32 is printed on one surface of the substrate 12 and the substrate 14 is composed of a transparent sheet to protect the printed character or design 32.
