[Detailed Description of the Invention] (A) Field of Industrial Application The present invention is directed to a device installation determination circuit device, particularly an electric circuit device in which a device device is removably connected to a device control device. The present invention relates to a device attachment determination circuit apparatus that can easily determine whether or not a device is actually attached.

(B) Problems to be solved by conventional techniques and inventions The present invention is not limited to such problems, but for example, devices such as ID card readers/writers, OCR devices, and bar code readers are device control devices. It is often necessary to know whether the device is actually attached to the device. In relatively high-grade systems, a signal indicating whether or not a device is connected is provided at the interface between the device and the control device. However, if such a signal is not available, try starting it from the control device and make a decision based on the result, or install a dip switch etc. on the control device as well. etc. will be taken into consideration.

In this case, for example, in the former case, a wasteful sequence is required to activate the device, and it is not possible to distinguish whether the device is malfunctioning or not installed. Furthermore, in the latter case, when a connector contact failure occurs, it is difficult to determine even if the state does not necessarily match the state of the dip switch.

(C) Means for solving the problem In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the present invention provides a plurality of connection wires, each consisting of a pair of grounding wire and a signal wire, between the device equipment and the device control device. By focusing on the existing points, continuity tests can be performed via the relevant connection wires. Therefore, in the device attachment determination circuit device of the present invention, one or more devices can be freely attached to and detached from the device control device by having a plurality of connection wires each pairing a ground wire and a signal wire. In an electric circuit device configured such that each of the grounding wires of the plurality of connection lines is grounded in the device equipment and the device control device, the plurality of connection lines in the device control device For at least one of the connection wires, a switching control means for selectively switching between a grounding state and a voltage application state with respect to the grounding wire of the connection wire is provided in the device control device, and at least The device control device is characterized in that the device control device includes potential level detection means for detecting the potential level of the ground line when a voltage application state is selected for the ground line. This will be explained below with reference to the drawings.
