Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a panel having no recessed and protruding parts of patterns in its surface and having excellent durability and abrasion resistance of the patterns by preliminarily printing patterns in a first molding plate in use of ink containing a release agent and injection molding resin into the molding mold in which the patterns are turned inside and manufacturing a panel thereby. CONSTITUTION:On the one surface 1a of a sheet of inorganic glass 1, patterns 4 are printed by ink. The ink used herein consists of resin of being soluble into pigment, release agent, organic solvent, and the organic solvent. Next, for rendering the surface of the inorganic glass with printed patterns inside, a sheet of approximately identical inorganic glass 5 is opposed thereto and, for making the distance between the inorganic glasses 1 and 5 have a desired breadth, gaskets 2 made of flexible vinyl chloride or the like are inserted into the utmost outer peripheral parts of the inorganic glasses 1 and 5 and secured thereto by clips 3 and, into the mold constructed by an aforementioned manner, the molten resin of thermosetting resin is injected and then heat- cured, after that, removed from the molding mold for obtaining a painted panel 6. The thus obtained decorated panel 6 has utterly no recessed and protruded feelings because the ink part 4 is taken into the panel and therefore has a flat surface thereon. In consequence thereof, the painted parts are not likely to wear.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, spray painting methods, screen printing methods, hot stamping methods, and the like are known and widely used as methods for painting patterns on panel surfaces. In these methods, since a pattern is applied to a pre-formed resin using ink or the like, the surface of the resin has unevenness due to the pattern, and this unevenness causes wear of the pattern. Therefore, JP-A-61-12
The method disclosed in Publication No. 0'74 is to apply a hard coat film applied to prevent friction and a plastic film with a pattern printed on the surface of the resin, and to apply the hard coat film applied to the plastic film to the resin surface. This is a method of manufacturing patterned glass in which resin is laminated on the back side and molded so as to form a single piece. The surface of the patterned glass formed by this method is covered with a hard coat film, so the pattern does not easily wear out.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, the above-mentioned method has problems with the adhesion between the plastic film and the resin layer, and between the plastic film and the hard coat film. There was also the problem that the number of parts increased, and therefore the number of processes also increased. Therefore, the technical problem of the present invention is to provide a painted panel with excellent abrasion resistance without requiring a large number of parts or processes, and a method for manufacturing the same.

Ink is used to print designs, including pigments, release agents,
The ink composition is composed of an organic solvent and a resin soluble in the organic solvent, and a dispersant or the like may be added if necessary. The release agent is one that is soluble in the organic solvent contained in the ink composition and is hardly volatile or nonvolatile,
By enveloping the pigment or resin in the ink composition or during its drying process, a film that is easily peeled off from the mold is formed. Specifically, higher fatty acid esters, liquid paraffin, glycols, etc. are used, but other known components can also be used.

First, a pattern 4 is printed with ink on one side 1a of the inorganic glass 1. The ink used in Example 1 was composed of a pigment, a release agent, an organic solvent, and a resin compatible with the organic solvent. Specifically, 5 parts by weight of carbon black as a pigment, 10 parts by weight of n-butyl stearate as a release agent, 30 parts by weight of methyl ethyl ketone, 30 parts by weight of methyl isobutyl ketone as an organic solvent, and n-butyl acetate. This is an ink consisting of 20 parts by weight of the organic solvent, and 5 parts by weight of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer as a resin soluble in the organic solvent. 4 in FIG. 2 shows the ink portion of the printed design.

Next, create a mold. Inorganic glasses 5 having substantially the same shape are placed opposite each other so that the surface 1a of the inorganic glass 1 on which the pattern is printed is on the inside. A soft vinyl chloride gasket 2 (sealing member) is attached to the outermost periphery of the inorganic glasses 1 and 5 and fixed with scissors clips 3 so that the gap between the inorganic glasses 1 and 5 has a desired width to form a mold.
