In conventional cleaning devices, when the charge carrier is activated, the amount of deformation of the cleaning blade temporarily reaches its maximum, and the edge of the cleaning blade separates from the surface of the charge carrier, causing the tip of the blade to hit (belt contact) and vibrations. This may lead to poor cleaning. In addition, toner and paper dust accumulated between the charge carrier and the cleaning blade may temporarily slip through, resulting in poor cleaning. Also,
When a blade is used for a long period of time, the elasticity of the Creenisigfled material may decrease, and in such a case, the above-mentioned abutment is likely to occur, resulting in a short life.
また、電荷保持体の振動によるゴム等のブレード材料の

Moreover, even if the elasticity of the blade decreases due to long-term use of the plate, the blade can still be used for a long period of time.

A toner fried cleaning device characterized in that a member is arranged, and the charge carrier includes selenium, amorphous silicon, an organic charge carrier, and a charge carrier used in a placement method called ionocraphy. This also includes those using dielectric materials.

る。The plate-shaped elastic member facing the cleaning blade is made of an elastic material such as rubber or metal, and is used when the cleaning member is excessively deformed, for example, when the charge holder starts to move, or when the cleaning blade is moved. When the elasticity of the blade decreases, the movement of the cleaning blade is suppressed by the plate-like elastic member.

In this figure, the charge carrier is shown in a stationary state, and the cleaning blade 2 is spaced apart from and close to the elastic member 5, or the cleaning blade 2 in slight contact with the elastic member 5 is fixed to the blade support 3. The edge portion is biased by the weight of the cleaning device or by the spring 4 so that the edge portion is pressed against the charge carrier with an appropriate pressure.
