Abstract

PURPOSE:To combine noble metals of different color tone so as to manufacture a ring of new design by fitting a 1st noble metal worked by pressing in the groove formed at the outer circumference of a 2nd noble metal, welding both metals and finishing the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The 1st noble metal 11 having a prescribed lateral pattern shape is formed by pressing a plate material of platinum alloy. Next, the 18 carat yellow gold of ring like finger ring shape as the 2nd noble metal is prepared. The groove 15 which is matched to the shape of the 1st noble metal 11 is formed at the outer circumferential part of the 2nd noble metal 13. Next, the 1st noble metal 11 is fit in the groove 15 of the 2nd noble metal 13, spot- welded, and fixed temporarily. Then, the 1st noble metal 11 is fixed to the 2nd noble metal 13 with the gold brazing and the ring 17 combined with noble metal materials of different cold's obtained. Then, the outer circumference, the inner circumference and the end surface of the ring 17 is finished by grinding and polishing.

The first precious metal 11 shown in FIG. 1(a) is bent to match the curvature of the outer periphery of each size of the ring-shaped ring after the outer shape is fringed. Bending the first noble metal 11 in this manner facilitates surface finishing and further improves the welding strength between the first noble metal 11 and the second noble metal 16.

Furthermore, although the depth of the groove 15 formed in the second precious metal 13 is similar to the thickness of the first fund @ 11, the groove 1
The depth of the first noble metal 11 may be approximately half the thickness of the first noble metal 11 so that the first noble metal 11 stands out from the second noble metal 13.

Further, although the forming process of the groove 15 has been explained using an example in which the second noble metal 16 is formed into a ring shape, it is performed in the planar shape before forming the second noble metal 16 into a ring shape, and after forming the groove 15. In this case, after bending and welding, the first precious metal 11 is fixed to the second precious metal 16, or the second precious metal 16 is fixed to the second precious metal 16. After fixing the noble metal 11 of No. 1, bending and welding are performed to form a ring shape.
