Claims (1)
ローラの外周面に圧接する加圧ローラと、該定着
ローラ外周面に接して従動回転し転写紙上の未定
着現像剤が定着ローラ上に付着することを防止す
るための離型剤を該定着ローラに塗布する離型剤
塗布ローラとを備えた定着装置であつて、 前記定着ローラに対し離接機構を介して離接可
能に設けられた該定着ローラの温度を検出する第
1の温度検知手段と、前記離型剤塗布ローラに摺
接して該離型剤塗布ローラの温度を検知する第2
の温度検知手段と、該第1或は第2の温度検知手
段が検知した温度に基づいて前記定着ローラの表
面温度を設定温度にするよう熱源の温度を制御す
るとともに前記離接機構の駆動を制御する制御手
段とを備え、該制御手段は前記定着ローラの回転
時には第1の温度検知手段を定着ローラから離脱
させるべく離接機構を駆動し且つ第2の温度検知
手段の温度検知に基づいて熱源の温度制御を行な
う一方、定着ローラの非回転時には第1の温度検
知手段を定着ローラに当接させるべく該離接機構
を駆動し且つ第1の温度検知手段の温度検知に基
づいて熱源の温度制御を行なうことを特徴とする
定着装置。 (2) 内部に熱源を有した定着ローラと、該定着
ローラに圧接する加圧ローラと、この定着ローラ
に当接して従動回転する補助ローラとを備えた定
着装置であつて、 前記定着ローラに対し離接機構を介して離接可
能に設けられ該定着ローラの温度を検出する第1
の温度検知手段と、前記補助ローラに摺接して該
補助ローラの温度を検知する第2の温度検知手段
と、該第1或は第2の温度検知手段が検知した温
度に基づいて前記定着ローラの表面温度が予め設
定された温度となるよう熱源の温度を制御すると
ともに前記離接機構の駆動を制御する制御手段と
を備え、該制御手段は、前記定着ローラの回転時
に第1の温度検知手段が定着ローラから離脱する
よう離接機構を駆動し且つ第2の温度検知手段の
温度検知に基づいて熱源の温度制御を行なう一方
、定着ローラの非回転時に第1の温度検知手段が
定着ローラに当接するよう離接機構を駆動し且つ
第1の温度検知手段の温度検知に基づいて熱源の
温度制御を行なうよう構成したことを特徴とする
