2の円盤41との接合面に第5図に示すような多
数の尖つたクラツチ歯51を設け、常時はスプリ
ングにより両者を圧接して相対回転が生じないよ
うに噛合させているが、ばね力を変えたい場合に
はばね力に抗して両円盤を離して所望の歯数だけ
相対回転を行わせるようにしたものであつた。と
ころが従来のものは両円盤を完全に離さないと相
対回転させることができないために、操作の際に
何山分だけ相対回転させたのかが分かりにくいと
いう欠点があつた。またこのような欠点を解消す
るため、第6図に示すような両側に傾斜したクラ
ツチ歯52を設ける場合もあるが、このような歯
形のものは強い軸方向の力を加えないと弛んで相
対的に回転してしまうおそれがあるため極めて強
いばねで押さえられており、この結果調整作業が
行いにくいという欠点があつた。
