Abstract

PURPOSE:To present a safe printing head by providing a holding part on a head cover of a printing head to hold the printing head. CONSTITUTION:A place to grip a printing head, a holding part 18a, is made to be a head cover shape. On a head cover 18 of a printing head, holding parts 18a are provided at two spots on the upper parts of both side surfaces of the printing head cover so that a user can easily hold the printing head. On the holding parts 18a, washboard type unevenness is provided so that they will not be slippery when gripped. Also, by making the inside of the holding parts 18a hollow, the temperature of the holding parts 18a can be kept lower than that of the surface of the head cover 18. By this method, spots to be held for the printing head can be clearly shown, and since the printing head has an easily grippable shape, the other parts are not touched, and safety can be improved.

[Function 1] The print head configured as described above makes it clear to the user where to hold the print head when it becomes necessary to touch the print head, such as when the printing device breaks down or the print medium is replaced during printing. The print head is shaped so that it is easy to hold, so the user does not have to touch anything else. In addition, since the holding part is formed on the head cover, the holding part is thick or hollow, so even if the print head gets hot, the temperature of the holding part will not rise, further improving user safety. .

[Examples] Examples of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the print head of the present invention. A lever 5 and an armature 6, each having a printing wire 10 fixed to its tip, are joined to a leaf spring 8, and the printing wire 10 is guided and held by a wire guide 12. The leaf spring 8 is sandwiched and fixed between the spring pressing plate 9 and the side yoke 4, and the yoke plate 3,
The permanent magnet 2 and the base plate 1 are fixed in a stacked state. A plurality of core portions 1a are arranged substantially circumferentially on the base plate 1, facing the armature 6, and a magnet coil 7 is wound around the core portion 1a. Both ends of the winding of the magnet coil 7 are soldered to a flexible printed circuit board 17 through holes or slits (not shown) provided in the base plate 1, and the other end of the flexible printed circuit board 17 is soldered to the flexible printed circuit board 17. Plugged into an unshown connector. An inner circumferential ring 11 is disposed inside the core portion 1a arranged on the circumference, and a heat transfer member 13 having a cylindrical convex portion is disposed on the inner circumferential portion of the inner circumferential ring 11. The outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical convex portion of the heat transfer member 13 is in contact with the circumferential surface of the inner circumferential ring 11 . Further, the heat transfer member 13 is attached with a heat dissipation plate 15 having a large number of fins in order to transfer the heat generated within the print head to the air surrounding the print head. The heat transfer member 13 and the heat sink 15 are fixed to the base plate 1 with screws 16. Laminated nose 14, spring holding plate 9, leaf spring 8,
Side yoke 4, yoke 3, permanent magnet 2, base plate 1,
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the heat sink 15 is covered by a head cover 18 in a shape that surrounds the top surface, both side surfaces, and the back surface of the print head. As shown in the perspective view of the print head of the embodiment of the present invention in FIG. 2, the head cover 18 has a mesh or slit structure that is large enough to prevent foreign objects such as clips and human fingers from entering. The operation will be explained in a. During non-printing standby, the armature 6 is attracted to the core portion 1-a by the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet 2, so the leaf spring 8 is biased and stores strain energy. During printing, the armature 6 is released by passing a current through the magnet coil 7 in a direction that cancels the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 2, and the printing wire 10 fixed to the end of the lever 5 is moved to the wire guide 12 by the strain energy of the leaf spring 8. Since it protrudes while being guided, it collides with an ink ribbon and paper (not shown), forming dots on the paper surface. After the dot is formed, the lever 5 is again attracted and held by the core portion 1a by the repulsive force of the printing wire 10 upon collision and the attractive force of the permanent magnet 2, and the -printing process is completed. In this process, the magnet coil 7
The print head generates heat due to Joule heat caused by the current flowing through the magnetic circuit and heat generated by iron loss generated in the magnetic circuit. The heat generated inside the print head is transferred to the outside of the print head where the temperature is lower, but since the print head uses metal materials such as aluminum and iron that have excellent thermal conductivity, the heat generated inside the print head and the print head are The temperature difference with the surface is small, and the surface temperature of the metal part of the print head becomes high. In particular, when a large number of characters or dots are printed per unit time, the print head becomes hot. Therefore, a head cover 18 is provided to cover the print head with a polymeric material such as polyacetal with low thermal conductivity so that the metal part of the print head does not come into direct contact with human fingers. As shown in Figure 5, only a slit was provided to prevent fingers from entering, but this structure caused problems such as paper jams and ribbons coming off while the printing device was printing, making it difficult for the user to move the print head. If you do not know where to hold the print head when the printing device is in a state where it cannot be restored unless you do so, your fingers may touch a part of the print head that is not covered by the head cover, which is dangerous. Therefore, in this embodiment, as shown in the perspective view of the print head according to the embodiment of the present invention in FIG.
The head cover has a shape that shows off. Figure 3 is the second
It is an enlarged view showing the holding part of the head cover 18 of the print head in the embodiment shown in the figure.
Two holding portions 18a are provided at the top of both sides of the print head cover so that the user can easily hold the print head. The holding portion 18a is provided with a washboard-like unevenness so that the holding portion 18a does not slip when the user holds it. FIG. 4 is a front view showing a state in which the head cover 18 is attached to the head (--dotted chain line) and a state in which the holding part 18a is pressed and held. In this bent state, the engaging portion 18b (engaging hole) with the head is displaced outward, so that it is disengaged from the protrusion 14a provided on the head and can be easily attached and detached. The holding portion 18a is shaped so that it is easy to hold as shown in FIG.
By making the inside of the holding part 18a hollow, the temperature of the holding part 18a can be kept lower than that of the surface of the head cover 18. Even if the holding part 18a is thick, the effect of keeping the temperature of the holding part 18a low can be obtained, but if the holding part 18a of this embodiment is hollow, the effect of lowering the temperature of the holding part 18a is even higher. Although the description has been made using a spring-charged impact dot head, it is obvious that the present invention can also be applied to other types of print heads having head covers.

[Effects of the Invention] The present invention provides a hold part for holding the print head on the head cover, so that it is easier for the user to touch the print head when the printing device malfunctions during printing or when the print medium is replaced. The location where the head should be held is clearly indicated,
Furthermore, since the print head has a shape that is easy to hold, the user does not have to touch other parts, thereby improving safety for the user.
