Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable decreasing treatment amount of a treatment device of radioactive gaseous waste by reusing condensate water separated from a condensating measure as cooling water for the radioactive gaseous waste. CONSTITUTION:A radioactive gaseous waste is introduced into a cooling tower 1, is cooled down by cooling water discharged from a cooling water discharging nozzle 12, and the cooled-down radioactive gaseous waste is deterged by a detergent water and then is introduced to a condenser 14. After that, water content in the gas is condensated and collected to a receiving tank 15 of condensate water. On the other hand, the gas from which the water content is removed, is discharged to outside the system by a blower 17, after fine particles are removed through a filter 16. Then, the water being used for deterging the radioactive gaseous waste at a detergent tower 13, is collected to a waste water receiving tank 18 and is sent to a treatment device of radioactive liquid waste. The condensate liquid collected at the tank 15, is returned to the nozzle 12 of the cooling tower 11 by a pump 19 and is re-used as cooling water. Accordingly, treatment amount of the treatment device of radioactive liquid waste, can be decreased.

(Prior Art) Facilities that handle radionuclides such as nuclear power plants and reprocessing plants (hereinafter simply referred to as nuclear power plan 1~) generate radioactive waste during their operation and treatment processes. This radioactive waste can be broadly classified into radioactive gas waste (gas containing particles), radioactive liquid waste, and radioactive solid waste, and is sent to each processing device for processing. The decomposed and dried radioactive liquid waste is stored as radioactive solid waste, and the radioactive gas generated during this decomposition and drying process is sent to a radioactive gas waste treatment device for treatment. Moreover, among the radioactive solid wastes, combustibles are stored after being burned, and radioactive gas generated during the burning process is sent to a radioactive gas waste treatment device and treated.

A conventional radioactive gas waste treatment apparatus will be explained with reference to the system diagram shown in FIG. The radioactive gaseous waste is introduced into the cooling tower and cooled by discharging pure water as cooling water from the cooling water discharge nozzle 2. The radioactive gaseous waste cooled on the cooling tower is cleaned in the cleaning tower 3. Moisture in the gas cleaned by the cleaning tower 3 is condensed, separated and removed by the condenser 4. The fine particles in the gas from which moisture has been separated by the condenser 4 are filtered to a filter 5.
The gas captured by the filter 5 and processed through the filter 5 is discharged to the outside of the system through the blower 6. Radioactive waste liquid generated from the cleaning tower 3 is collected in a waste liquid receiving tank 7. Condensed water generated from the condenser 4 is collected in a condensed water receiving tank 8.

Figure 1 is a system diagram of the present invention, in which radioactive gaseous waste is introduced into a cooling tower 11 and cooled by cooling water discharged from a cooling water discharge nozzle]2. The cooled radioactive gas waste is washed with washing water in the washing tower 13, and is led to the condenser 14 along with moisture. condenser l4
The moisture in the gas is condensed and collected in the condensed water receiving tank 15. The gas from which moisture has been removed passes through the filter 16 to remove particulates, and is then discharged to the outside of the yarn by the blower 7. Furthermore, since the water used for cleaning radioactive gas waste in the cleaning tower 13 contains radioactive substances, it is collected in a waste liquid receiving tank 18 and sent to a radioactive waste liquid processing apparatus.

On the other hand, the condensed water collected in the condensed water receiving tank 15 is returned to the cooling water discharge nozzle 12 of the cooling tower 11 by the pump 19, and is reused as cooling water. As a result, conventionally,
Pure water that was newly supplied as cooling water is no longer needed, and condensed water no longer needs to be treated as radioactive waste. Therefore, the amount of radioactive waste liquid generated can be reduced, and the processing amount of the radioactive waste liquid processing apparatus can be reduced.
